Just a heads up guys, I'll speak to Will at Rockingham in the morning to give him the total on members signed up for the 21st March, after which I'll post up with final cost per car and any other details.

I've spoken to Will and we're agreed with the current total of 25 cars on a final cost per car @ £336. He has helped us with the price and also offered to accept direct payment from a further 5 cars up until 2 weeks before the 21st March. So anyone not on the list today, that subsequently wishes to join us (max 5 places) will need to contact Will directly to be included and to pay the fee.

For those on the list, please pm me for your transfer (£336) details. Once I have received everyones transfer, I'll confirm to all the transfer to Rockingham complete.

Thanks to the 7 members that have already made their transfers. However, there is already evidence of the list numbers (on which the transfer fee has been calculated) dwindling. Please please, if you do not fully intend joining us, then tell me now, we need to be absolutely sure about numbers.

PS: Just had this bit of good news from Will at Rockingham; "I have also had a brief chat with our caterers today regarding the event, where as I stated before there would be a catering unit, we will actually serve a lunch in the briefing suite at no additional cost".

Adam,,,,there has been a post on the AMOC site for several weeks (Anne Reed) offering places. I'm pretty sure a number of those already on our PH list are dual members, myself included.

I have received pm's today indicating the 2 remaining places, 24 and 25, may soon be filled.

As has been pointed out by TonyV12V (isn't it time you changed your forum name) following an earlier request to attend with a car from Russell of RS Fabrications, the format for entrants for our 'fun' day, we preferred did not include 'professional' drivers or cars representing motorsport commercial interests.

Obviously the suggestion made in the above post from David Appleby would unfortunately fall well within the 'commercial' catagory and therefore be excluded,,,,so why post it.

I have spoken directly to David this afternoon, as a result I have a better understanding of why he felt compelled to post as he did.

Basically, he feels (with some justification we have to acknowledge) that on this forum, his company nor that of other similar competitors to Bamford Rose, are getting a fair hearing. Indeed he went on to say he felt that recently certain forum individuals were becoming slanderous and that he would shortly, unless it stopped, be taking legal advice,,,be advised my dear forum friends, he was not just sabre rattling,,,please, moderate your comments, this is supposed to be 'fun'.

So, what to we do,,,,

I explained to David that for our maiden meeting at Rockingham, the format could not be changed now (we have 25 cars booked in). However, should it be a resounding success, then there are already plans to book another PH Aston Martin Owners PHAMO (pronounced "fammo") meeting at Silverston later in the year, to which, DAE, RSFab and BRose would be invited,,,,,then its their choice,,,,could not be more fair,,,,no?.
