By the end of the programme I was quiet liking the guy with the Black Lambo. Weird life though, I dont think any amount of money would compensate for not being able to pick your own wife. Mind you an old lecturer I had told us to marry an only child who would inherit everything. He said the money would act like manure and make the love grow. Didnt follow his advice.

The old opinionated knob lost all credibility in my eyes with his obvious constant racism, they have nicknames for the Arabs.. figures!

And just as annoying his eyeball is on his shoulder it would appear.

Umbrella touches his shoulder, low down on his shoulder at that, and then he scoffs to the camera about how it got him in his eye.. lying b$stard!

If I were that camera crew I'd have paid a (dare I say it) white person to bump into him with an umbrella to judge his reactions in that case.

So they have 49 weeks of normality, and moan like f*ckwits about 3 weeks.. well they should all know when to book their holidays ;-)
Similar conversation in my house. He was the worst of British pompous idiots I have seen for a while and just book a holiday over those weeks, or put up with it. These people bring money into the country and spend it, which is what we need right now. I don't agree with the speeds they were driving on a busy day on a London street, but other than that what is the real issue?

Err, yes they do! Never been on a plane out of the Middle East and watch them knock back the alcohol? They don't so much in their own country but lots of them do once abroad.

there is no question for me, as described very well above, that the residents came off worse in the programme than the drivers. Although to the non-petrolheads, there will no doubt be the usual infantile comments of envy like 'they should give their money to charity'

But there is a more serious point. If they are insured and driving legally, they are being harassed by being pulled over so often. If they aren't acting within the law, then they should be prosecuted. What actually seems to go on is a middle ground of being stopped constantly but never prosecuted - by defintion, that must be wrong

Take the front numberplate issue. Either it's illegal, even on foreign plates, to drive without one in which case the drivers should stop moaning that they are being picked on by jealous busybodies and be prosecuted once they ignore the 2nd or 3rd warning or it's not illegal and they should never have it even mentioned to them by the police - I'm not actually sure what the law is but that's what should be enforced, not this half hearted intefering which annoys everyone & pleases nobody

Wasnt half a bad programe, quite balanced on the reporting from the makers, but I think the Knightbridge residents didnt do themselves any justice.

The fact that they live in central london kinda limits thier complaints, its not like they are in rural surrey, if you live in central london you need to come to terms with the fact that its a noisey place.

Both sides have positives and negatives. The fact remains that the economy does benefit from the summer influx of middle east tourists. its a trickle down effect, From hotels/ restaurants/ shops down to thier staff etc.... But that doesnt mean one should put others at risk.

The programe was quite light hearthed, i think if they highlighted the crash that occured last year it might have shown that there is a problem that there are drivers out thier, foreign and domestic that do driver recklesly. And this needs to be tackeled as central london is densley populated place.

the two white ferrari guys (white 458 guy isnt an arab btw)didnt do themselves any justice, and the club scene was cringe worthy television.

I thought taking the "carparassi" for an in car filming wasnt to bright, i thought the police now watch youtube and prosecute such things?

Give me a nice quiet B road any day smile
I absolutely love driving through London in the evening, particularly in the summer with the roof down. I live oop north and have access to lots of b-roads but london is a different experience, you get the all the buzz of the city - the sounds, the lights reflecting off the thames, other nice cars, and you get to enjoy it all from the comfort of a super sexy drop-top v12. pootling along rarely gets better for me than a summer night through all the nice bits of london.

Not on Arab owned airlines they don't, whilst Qatar and Emirates serve alcohol all other airlines don't unless you have your own. But your point is very true, my Emirate friend regularly comes over here to partake in a lemonade or two, but he never drinks at home.

I'm not a fan of cities anyway, driving through them is always a chore to me rather than something to enjoy. Can't go fast, is always too busy and too much going on, always buses/cyclists/pedestrians/other annoyances around. I'll stick to keeping away from cities!

Many years ago the heir to the Bahrain throne was invited to the Christmas Ball in the RAF Officers Mess at Muharraq. Not a drop of alcohol passed his lips - only rusty water!

Just watched the programme. Most of the residents came across as a bunch of posh racist idiots. The guy in the pink shirt claimed he used to work in PR but couldn't stop being a racist tt! PR my arse. Panda was hilarious - her tears whilst on the rooftops whilst moaning about jonny foreigners runinig her England.

Felt sorry for the Kuwaiti with the Aventador as he was insured. Most of the Arab guys came across well, very well spoken and educated, The guy in the white 458 wasn't even an Arab - they said his name was Nicolaides, I would guess of Greek extaction, but from the sound of him English Public school education. He really does need to slow down.

Couldn't help but laugh in the nighclub when the Arab lad claimed he only bought alcohol for his mates - of course you do - parents may be watching! smile

It wasn't so different from Jumeriah Beach (Dubai) on a Thursday night. The youngsters out posing in their cars, may even have done the same in a Ford GT (well except the young bit wink )
