Hi Molly,

No worries on your front,I've got you booked, boxed and hosed ready to go.

Its some of the newer guys and gals I'm struggling with but all will come good I sure, its the George wanting extra information and I haven't
got a scooby on all that have booked.....confused

No problems though I'll sort it this week or next.......can't see what all their panic's about really.thumbup

This morning I have sent out e-mails requesting information to those people that I do not already have the information needed apon.

If you are on the list to dine and haven't received an e-mail that is because I know your details and require no further information at this point.

If anyone books the George from today could you please let me know for my record as no doubt before the event at some point the George
will be back on to me asking questions about residency again.

Sorry to be a pain but I'm only the messenger on this one and merely carrying out instruction.

Cheers,

Ed the slightly less bewildered by it all this morning......lolthumbup

Morning all,

I've been fiddling about on the pre event meal and have been advised that a little nearer the time that a choice of menu's will be available to choose from,
at that point I will post up the choices that will have been made available by the Head Chef at the George.

We shall at that time have to democratically decide which set menu gets the vote, any bodies special dietary needs will be established and sorted at this
time too.

The George has informed me that all meals for larger parties such as ourselves must be prepaid, yes its a pain in the arse but this appears to be the way of things.

When the menu has been decided apon and probably about a month before the event I shall be requesting payment sent to myself if that ok, as I will have
to make one payment in full to the George.I shall let everyone know my home details by pm so that cheques may be forwarded please and thank you.

I'm sorry if this is a bit of a arse about, but again I'm only the messenger.

Don't quit know yet how people's grog is going to be billed but I'm not going to worry about that for the now, probably best to just book it to some poor unsuspecting sods bill…..hehe

Hopefully this meets with every bodies approval and as I say I'm only the messenger trying my best,if you have any issues, worries or concerns please shout and I'll
do my best to sort it.

Thanks,

Ed.

Edwin you're a bloody star. I've had it suggested to me that it might be easier if we pay you by online bank transfer, thats the way I'm hoping to collect the Rockingham fees. Which ever way you prefer is fine by me.

Just updating the Diners list for the Saturday night 26th July,if any one can no longer make it please let me now asap please.

The following people are currently down to attend so here follows the listing prior to offering your choice of meal.

Ed & Eleanor Cunningham
Nick & Rachel Toms
Simon & Glen Lamb
Phil & Karen Halliday
Tony & Lorna Hall
Peter & Lynn Lloyd
Andrew Howson & Mhairi Kirk
Les & Jacquie O'Dea
Tony & Jenny Duckhouse
Marcel & May Tay
Jeff Hook
Martyn & Mona O'Connor
Rob & Molly Taylor
Bob & Julie Creese
Tom & Ann Wakeford
John Gladman & Tracey Cartwright
Neil Edward
Graham & Marlies Mackichan
Reeza & Sonia Meer
Richard & Louise Wallis
Allan & Terry Pickles
Andy & Kym Parr
Steven & Bernadette Goorwich
Dave & Georgina Goldie

I still have the reserves registered so don't worry your not forgotten.

The George suggest,to keep it simple that we choose from a 2 item menu offering a choice of 2 starters,2 mains and 2 desserts, they suggest this as the most popular choice.

To Start,

Melon with Tuscan Ham and Fresh Figs.
or
Minestrone Soup with a Garlic and Parmesan Crouton.

The Main,

English Sirloin of Beef, roasted rare to medium, with Yorkshire pudding and hot horseradish sauce carved off the bone.
or
Poached Fillet of organic Salmon with Prawns, tomato and butter wine sauce.

All served with fresh seasonal vegetables and potatoes.

The Desserts,

Profiteroles with Chocolate sauce.
or
The George's Sherry Trifle.

To End,

Coffee or Tea with Truffles.

The cost per head for your choice of meal is £39.95 per head, which as I've mentioned previously is pre payable in advance so nearer the time I shall have to do an Uncle Bob and get you
all to forward your loot so that I can make one full payment to the George.

I understand that our tables will be laid out with your name cards identifying your place as to aid the staff in serving your meal swiftly and correctly with the least of fuss.

Drinks for those staying in the hotel as residents may be charged to your room but non residents guests must pay for their drinks before leaving the Hotel as individual tabs will hopefully be recorded by your place at the table and your name.

This menu is their most popular choice,so if it suited everybody it would make life so much easier, please have a think and let me know your thoughts as I would like to arrange our requirements sooner rather than later as it appears I've got quite a lot on……...yes.

Thanks for your anticipated response and if you are in touch with each other please mention the post in case any one misses it,it might also be a good idea to pm me to let me know you've read this or even with your choice if thats ok so I'm not left in the dark…..confused

Cheers,

Ed the slightly shell shock and bewildered……..thumbup

slightly bewildered……..scratchchin

Hopefully everyone will see this note if we keep it in focus for a day or two, then if I'm lucky I'll get a response as I've got a hell of a lot going on in the hood currentlysmash.

Just try ordering a sandwich off the bar menu in the lounge at the wrong time of day, or if the winds in the wrong direction or,or.... nono trouble is it really is a great place. Hope everyone gets there early on Saturday pm, it would be a shame to miss having a wander around Stamford or maybe even a little lap around Rutland Water in the cars idea

Good shout Andrew about getting in early as a drive around Rutland Water and a few photo's by the wet stuff would make a great start to the weekend.

I also agree on the George being a great place but it still has the odd Dragon running round the place at times……….whistle
