Simon, you haven't met the Georgeous One, have you? scratchchin

You have the correct movie but the wrong character.

More of a jaja binks than a Jedi yes
I haven't had what will undoubtedly be a pleasure to meet Georgeous. Jar Jar Binks huh? Well with all the lovely refined young ladies of Soho at George's disposal his eyes will definitely be out on stalks smile

Nearest Travelodge to where we will be is Covent Garden.
Typical bloody London... Double the price of a normal travel lodge!
there are some very cheap hotels around Euston.
Or closer to Soho is the Centepoint refuge centre for down and outs!

If you want it free in London they now have tents setup at Christmas time for all the drunks the ambulances have to deal with. No breakfast though

Plus I'm sure some of the 'happy' bars in Soho will provide shelter for any young Dick Whittington yes

Speaking from experience I know it's better to stay as close as possible to where you're drinking. I once stayed in the wrong hotel in Mexico after I got lost, went to reception and asked for my room key (I got the room number right). They let me in but I got a right bking off the manager in the morning laugh

I'll book the Covent Garden one at some point. Could someone meet me/send me directions from Euston too? smile

The D&D room is booked.
George, you could try the St Giles hotel which will be about £79.
I've never stayed there but know people who have and they've survived OK.
It's in a fairly nice area. It's not the Waldorf. About a five minute walk from the D&D

Something like that looks alright. I'll book it when I've sorted everything out at work. Hopefully by the end of next week smile

It better not be just a few drinks in the afternoon though!

26 pints of hellfire between the three of us drink

However, after the rest of them crawled home, I continued for another 3 pints, a few martinis and bottle of wine beer

I did not enjoy the following day weeping

Training is not going well for this. I've not had a drink since the weekend, and that was a fairly tame one.
On the 18th I might just nurse a Babycham for the afternoon and nibble some olives...
Or I may not...

Yeah right smile

Also, could you possibly request that they ensure they have slaughtered a cow of sufficient proportions to ensure that we all have a choice of a Beef burger as opposed to the Boar burger biggrin

Was taken out for lunch yesterday at 12... Ended up at Rules http://www.rules.co.uk/ for cocktails, a marvellously large dinner, then back upstairs for more cocktails.

My training is going well, but I didn't >quite< make it to work today.

Oi, you can't take all of the beer credit. I had two pints after I had managed to finish off all of their Italian Eurofizz.
