and, I believe, it makes it unique as the only AM in that colour and the only V12V with all the Carbon Black extras that is not Carbon Black in colour.
If the colour is also known as Cayucos Orange as I believe it is, then there for sure there was one V12 Vantage Zagato, a GT12 and I believe 1 maybe 2 more V12V's in it too - one in the USA and one in Europe. Best get in touch with AMHT to confirm for sure, although even they may not know if Montana is the same colour as Cayucos, so may be confused with their stats.

I still own a factory mould for Cayucos Orange and the colour code on the back says it is Q048. Maybe that will help - do you have the order sheet for your car maybe?

I've owned it for six months and have enjoyed every minute. I now face the predicament as to how much to drive it and how much to just look at it, which I think is a comment dilema!
What an amazing colour! Love it!

Regarding this dilemma, use it at every opportunity. (1) you’ll regret the missed opportunity if you don’t, and (2) Astons get better with use.

Sometimes I have the same question after becoming the current custodian of this unique beast…

It’s Cosmopolitan Yellow and is the only VH Vantage to have received this colour as special request. The interior is also highly unique for a Vantage. A thread emerged on PH shortly before I jumped at the chance (I only saw the thread after first contacting HWM): https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I utterly love it and have already added 1k miles in 2 months. It’s gained two tiny stone chips, but I’ll continue using it when there’s a good opportunity and no salt. It’s a keeper, so can always be given attention in the future to keep it mint. But if too mint, would you use it as much?

Out of interest, does anybody know how many VH Vantage models have a unique colour from new?

I dont recall ever seeing another VH Vantage in Cosmopolitan Yellow to be fair. Of course there was at least one Vanquish Zagato. The person you need to ask such questions is Tim C from AMHT, he will for sure tell you if your car is in a unique colour.

Ask for a breakdown of all Astons in that colour, that's what I did for my colour, Kermit Green. Tim confirmed mine is the only V12 Vantage ever ordered in that colour, but there were 4 V8 Vantages too, 3 of which were N420's, and more recently 12 new shape Vantages in it also. Nice to know, but my personal interest really was most focussed on V12 Vantages, because of course the original "Kermit" N24 race car had a V12 at the time of being painted in this colour, and the colour was released to the AM Range to celebrate the wins.

Changing the engine seemed to become a habit with that car.

Wonder if it is still owned by AML?
Probably unlikely. Storage and maintaining running order must become an unjustified expense, if they keep too many past models.

Hi Adam - thanks. Didn’t think of asking Tim. Will do.

I know my Vantage is unique in Cosmopolitan Yellow. It since became available on later AM models. I think the Vanquish Zagato is when it first became a special order option. The original owner was allowed to get the V12 AMR Vantage done in the same colour as the Zagato they ordered at the same time. As I understand it.

Love the Kermit Green too! Do you still have the V12 Zagato alloys fitted? Always thought they were stunning.

I wonder if Tim can relatively easily export a list of Vantages in unique colours? Curious. Hmmm…

Yup still got the Zagatos albeit I had to paint them full gloss black as the dreaded whiteworm appeared on the diamond cut faces for a 2nd time. Grown use to them now in all black and the suit the final look of the car, but I think they are more beautiful in the DT finish really.

I asked Tim for exactly that, but the answer was never forthcoming. That said I had asked him a lot of questions already on Kermit and on AMR Rapide colours, so I suspect I had used up all my freebie tokens lol

Ack! Diamond cut alloys can be a right pain to keep nice if you use the car. I didn’t have a problem with the DT V8S alloys but had them sprayed gunmetal (a Porsche colour) before collecting the car. I kerbed a front one very lightly once (thankfully just paint and no alloy damage) and it was a cinch to get it properly repaired. Mind, AM Bristol did a great job “converting” them from DT with full-on prep and not just painting them.

I may have to ask Tim how many tokens I have… biggrin

Came across this nice green one for sale.
I wanted to say I forgot the color, but I wrote the color down in the pictures after I put them on my computer a while ago :-)

Viridian Green was the colour of the original Vantage V8S Roadster press car. Looks absolutely fantastic. I am also aware that there is a Viridian Green manual V12VS with Lightweight seats somewhere in the UK which is one of the few cars that could drag me out of my current V8S if it ever became available .......

Agree. Astons are supposed to be understated IMHO.
