Hi everybody,

I'm assisting with an event at Earl's Court next week (26th/30th Sep) and find myself in need of a V12V (or black DBS) to sit, entirely roped off, on a stand for the four days (the first day is set-up day). I do have a modest budget available to remunerate the lender, so if there are any owners on here who'd be able to answer my prayers then please drop me a PM soonest!

Kind regards,
Jay

If a green DB9 Volante is any good to you, let me know. I don't require remuneration either smile

Thank you wavey

It's not the wedding fair, this is for a technology expo. If I may, I'd like to let the thread run for a day or so before accepting your offer just to see if any 'spot on spec' cars might be available?

Regards,
Jay

P.S. do you have a photo of how your car looks right now? I see from your profile it's not standard...

Only external differences are a DBS carbon fibre (painted) bonnet, DBS 20" wheels, Brembo GranTurismo 6 pot brakes and drilled discs, bespoke interior, LED clear rear lights and DBS front grille.

If it's a technology-fest you're doing... I have switchble magnetic dampers fitted, very complicated exhaust and inlet manifolds, high lift cams, 200cpi catalysts and a switchable exhaust system. It's the Bamford Rose V12 Prototyping car smile

However, Nick has a black DBS if that's what you need wink

Brakes (Brembo - same as OEM, just better), suspension (Bilstein - same as OEM but better) and exhaust... well, the Aston stuff is only fit for scrap, no argument there! Shear plates and anti-roll bar are from Virage.

Not like Aston produce most of those parts themselves anyway! The marvellous bonded aluminium chassis is what makes it an Aston anyway. And that is unchanged, just a little bit strengthened with the shear plates.

Wheels, grille, bonnet, all Aston parts bin stuff smile

Interesting mods: how much extra bhp and torque do the race catalysts (plus motor management adjustments?) offer? Does BR offer this for DBS too?

Took my car from 446bhp to 522bhp wink

Your delta would be a few BHP less as you already have a nice spec of inlet manifold on the DBS. It's a hoot though smile

thx, sorry for hijacking this thread, but then 550-570 bhp and 600 Nm of torque for the DBS would be feasible? now let's hope I dn't end up in a Drivers Awarness Course smile

You've made the classic DBS owners mistake of believing your power output is 510bhp to start with...

Bear in mind I have high lift cams in there too... I think exhaust manifolds and catalysts came out to +45bhp on a V12 with the top spec manifolds.

Don't know the torque numbers, I have a manual gearbox so don't require it wink

BR guarantee the power increase change, the delta, from whatever number you start with + the power.

Read through their sponsored thread at the top of the page!
