Tyre sensor replacement

Each to his/her own. But of the 40 years of driving how much was in cars with very low profile tyres that have super tough sidewalls?
I had a puncture in my 911 and did not feel a thing. Only realised when I parked and could see the tyre was hot...
In my V12V I saw TPMS warning and pulled off the motorway to see a screw in a tyre. I've only had TMPS warnings when I've had a puncture or a new tyre and the system seems to "recalibrate".
Maybe your TPMS system is not correctly set up?
^^ what he said ^^ CatalystV12V will be on to say the same thing. Without TPMS he would have been driving onto a motorway with a flat instead of spotting the warning in the services. Worked for him.I had a puncture in my 911 and did not feel a thing. Only realised when I parked and could see the tyre was hot...

The system alerted me to a semi flat on the nearside before I got to the bottom of the drive. Saved trashing the rim and tyre.
I'll replace sensors when they stop working.
I check my tyres weekly.... And as soon as the TPMS starts to play up on my car... It'll be disconnected....
Talking of tyres my front drivers side got an advisory at last weeks MOT, so just ordered a new front bridgestone 235/40-19...... £206 delivered plus £10 quid fitting charge at my local place.... Not bad I thought

On this getting a local Tyre fitter is there a risk to diamond cut wheels at all, I mean ruining them or scratching them? Or are the likes of Kwik Fit, National Tyres etc well able to deal with diamond cut wheels with no risk ?
I only take my wheels to folk I trust..... And there are only 2 places I use.... Never had a problem with either...Lunablack said:

I'm assuming you're talking of Buckley Tyres, Andy ??Talking of tyres my front drivers side got an advisory at last weeks MOT, so just ordered a new front bridgestone 235/40-19...... £206 delivered plus £10 quid fitting charge at my local place.... Not bad I thought
I shall be there on Saturday getting my nearside front fixed - nail showed up on the mot, not on the TPMS !!
Hoping to get it plugged.....not recommended by AM

You'd assume incorrectly then...... Much as I like the above mentioned establishment..... They won't fit tyres bought elsewhere...I shall be there on Saturday getting my nearside front fixed - nail showed up on the mot, not on the TPMS !!

So on this occasion I've chosen another well regarded family run business that are happy to fit outsourced tyres at reasonable cost....
