The Garmin one in my V12VS has taken me into three different Morrisons' car parks. The one in my V8VS didn't work north of Milton Keynes. I keep a map in the car for important journeys.
That's very downmarket Phil, maybe the sat nav doesn't know you're driving an Aston.
I'd definitely get it sorted before any of your acquaintances sees you in Morrisons.

Will Volvo DVD HDD RTI sat nav discs work in a 2007 DB9 (for example, 2015 upgrade Volvo code 31438676 AA 1520)? Is an activation code needed (how to get it)?
Satnavdisc? Is it it a website company? In the uk?Not legal copies though. Also, if you are going to Europe you need to buy more than one disc. I know of at least one Satnav web company in the UK that sells them They may claim they are for backup purposes - still not strictly legal but I would be confident they work on your system / age of car. As they are backup discs, just remember to put your originals back in the drive

Bloody thing was 7.5 miles OUT on the absolute postcode for where we were staying for Hever. Tom Tom backup bang on for same postcode. May drill holes in dash!!!
That's because it has the built-in Welsh deterrent system for Kent. But, will these Volvo RTI discs work?Ken Figenus said:

I use Copilot on my iPhone. I have used it across Europe and the U.S. It's superb. I only use the satnav in my '09 V8 when I want to show someone how bad it is.
Windscreen suckers and wires from central armrest (like my DD as BMW's system is absolutely £2000 pants too ) Zod said:
Our BMW's system is fabulous.
Guess its a very recent model then? The lag between design, sourcing, building and selling an 'in-house' system makes so many Sat Nav's obsolete the day they are bundled in with a 'new' car. In my experience. Does your BM have a live SIM card based data connection too?

No, but BMW do issue map updates 2x per year. The live data functionality is RTTI - google's real time traffic info.Does your BM have a live SIM card based data connection too?

It is not listed as compatible with MMM/P2001 or MMM+ which are the 2 Aston branded versions of Volvo's unit, so I don't think so. It is listed as 2012 MMM2 which is not fitted to any Aston.
