To save me reading through 6 pages can the original post be updated with potential dates? Going to be out the country for a bit in the next few months but would like to take the car out and shake its butt about smile

From experience with Llandow, prices vary wildly depending on time of year and day of the week. It'll cost twice as much (ish) for a weekend over a weekday, but we'll get more people.

Might be worth a poll George to see whether weekends or weekdays are better; hasn't even been discussed yet!

Are we set on Combe? No worries for me, just wondering if somewhere central will be better for the Northern/Midland monkies.

If a weekend at Combe, a local spa hotel could work for the other halves, or dropping the uninterested girls (i.e. not Molly smile) off in Bath before hand?

.... I will not be throwing the Porsche in amidst all the Astons - that would end in tears.

I'd rather not do Combe, I love Oulton personally! Maybe Cadwell?

I can't do polls so I'll designate you to do them for me biggrin

Lovely jubbly smile

Part of me is tempted to bring the olde Prelude down for a giggle, been 8 years since I did a trackday and the lude was my weapon of choice back in those days smile

In Goodwood or Castle Coombe the Porsche will be way quicker than the Aston. Same power but 300 kg lighter and much more agile through the turns. SPA would be better suited for the Aston with its long straights and lot of braking from high speed - also the trip to SPA would be a whole lot more comfortable than in the GT3 RS 4.0 which basically is a bone shaker and too loud for long journeys.

Goodwood is a power circuit, long straights and you only brake 3 times on a lap! I'd give the Aston the edge there, pretty sure your 4.0 doesn't have a chimney-sweeping 570bhp..?

300kg is a lot of weight though scratchchin

Combe though suits the lightweight much more, last time I was there was in a DB7 Vantage...

Oh man that's tempting, always said I wouldn't track the Aston but CC is lovely, a bit flat maybe compared to the Oultons, Cadders or Dony.

Depending on the day I'm in, purely for fun, you racey types can do your own thing, I'm just up for a whizz round :-)
