Prices like that make me realise I need to work harder!
If you work hard enough to afford those prices, you would be far too sensible to spend them - surely they are either for footballers & pop stars or markets like China, Russia & the Middle East ? £9.65k per person means £115.8k for a 12 person 144 piece cutlery service !
I have added this to my xmas list :-) ... http://www.grantmacdonald.com/astonmartin/shop/pro...
When i was in gaydon a while back there were a few other visitors being shown around, some from other countries, and the on site shop was being emptied by them! They were buying some very nice and very expensive items, things i would have loved to take home but just couldnt justify. There are always people out there that will purchase these things, i wish i was in the lucky position to be able to justify 50k for a little desk model!

I'd rather get an Aston I could actually drive for that sort of money!
What you guys aren't latching onto is that at that level, it's not an 'either/or' scenario. People are just looking at ways to spend money that they don't know what to do with! If I had a billion in the bank and a One-77 in the garage, would I spend 50k on a model of it? Sure, why not it's not even the equivalent of a quid on a Matchbox toy One-77. .
People don't save up or get finance for those sorts of cars And they don't worry about 100k for cutlery.

Exactly this. I'm pretty sure the most common option on the One-77 was the solid rose gold dials/buttons! If I had a billion in the bank and a One-77 in the garage, would I spend 50k on a model of it? Sure, why not it's not even the equivalent of a quid on a Matchbox toy One-77. .

So the targeted audience needs to be minted and have the taste to find the products appealing.
Does anyone have a duster to send the Grant as I think he may be polishing the items for sometime to come. IMHO.
I wonder what commission payments are due to AML on brand usage?
A lot of this stuff actually featured in a special ONE 77 brochure and the intention I think was to make it exclusive to ONE 77 customers. Also, if you link back you'll see there are some other companies in this lifestyle section - the speakers were also part of the ONE 77 brochure
