Aaaargh the weather!
Discussion
The seems to be the week for people acquiring new cars and my 2009 V12V arrived yesterday to the cold and wet Midlands. It's replacing a 2011 V8 and I couldn't be more excited except for the weather, the only bit I can try at the moment is the boot mounted umbrella.
No decent pictures at the moment but heres a rubbish one from the garage.
I just want the rain to stop and the temperature to creep up a bit now.

What was it like driving in the horrible rain with it?
I haven't driven it in the rain yet. It was delivered a day earlier than originally planned by Stratstones (I bought it from Amersham) so my insurance only came into effect today and it's so lousy I'm waiting for slightly better weather. This is remotely weather connected - Now I know why Token Jock has just spent three weeks in Antarctica

Also, has there ever been a better time to break out the 'polar bear' line?

Great car Shrek. Forecast is ste so you might have a long wait. Not even tempted for a quick 'spin' around the block?
Come what may, it's coming out of the garage tommorow. Retman said:

MTFU and get out there
+1Good grief! - anyone would think the V12V is an uncontrollable, rocket powered beast. It has a fantastic range of capabilities, and is fine in the wet at say +7 or 8C unless you turn off all aides and drive with a heavy right foot - even on the standard Corsas. It's not as much fun as it would be in the summer, but it is still fab......
I picked my car up in Feb while temperatures were well below 7 degrees. As long as you're not driving like a loon its absolutely fine.
It's a bit like when I bought my first motorbike. Everyone said start with something small 600cc max... But I reasoned that. 1000 fazer would be fine .... After all , it's the nut behind the wheel, or throttle , that's the problem.

I feel your pain brother, it's simply st out there. It's likely to be a little better tomorrow, not so wet, but looking to be horrendous for sat/sun. I'm gagging to get mine out (oooer missus!) but will just have to wait. Grrr.
Whereabouts in the midlands are you?
