So Aston have announced more details of the centenary edition Rapide - similar to the Vanquish but instead of graduated silver paint, it's graduated white (looks pretty good to be fair)

Details below - both releases refer to the black luxurious leather interior previously only available on the ONE 77 (though curiously, reference to the sterling silver gift packs with cufflinks, pen, etc seems to have been dropped)

Then they helpfully show photos of the Shanghai Rapide Centenary car..................with a red interior !

I mean seriously, who employs & monitors this department ?!?

A luxury firm where image and attention to detail should be everything but yet again, they look like a complete amateur night out organisation with inconsistencies in information released and contradictory images/text. Almost as good as the initial SP10 images of an auto gearbox with text saying manual only - of course it now transpires auto is available, but there's no info on SP10 at all on the AML website, despite cars appearing in showrooms and prices being given out by dealers......they really don't help themselves.....

Don't disagree on their marketing. However in good news:-

Aston Martin needed an army of security guards to control the crowds trying to see a special centenary edition of their new Rapide S model.

And several Chinese fans put down deposits for the Rapide S despite it costing upwards of £375,000 excluding taxes.

Boss Ulrich Bez says Aston expect a quarter of their sales to soon come from China, which is now their fastest-growing market.

I know cats are more expensive in China but didn't realise more than twice the price BEFORE taxes

FYI, IIRC, premium for centenary vanquish is very approx. £15k, +/- a few k.
