V8 Vantage - Upgrades
Discussion
Loving my V8V but there are a few things I'd like to do.
1. Audio upgrade including DAB.
2. I have factory Bluetooth but it's unreliable and doesn't support audio streaming. So, I need to fit a more modern system.
3. I would like to turn the nav screen into a reversing camera display, which only pops up when reverse is selected;
4. I'd really like cruise control (damn average speed cameras); and
5. I'd like to fit a remote Fuse 22 solution.
All whilst maintaining a completely standard look.
Questions for those more knowledgeable than me - how much of this is do-able, and what kind of cost am I looking at?

Well the simplest way would be to trade your current car in for a well specced ex-demonstrator 2015MY at your dealer. Many other benefits too: improved steering/suspension, remainder of 3 year warranty, better satnav etc etc. The exhaust switch would cost you £50 on top of that.
If the Man Maths won't stretch to that solution then I think everything you want is possible. Certainly Cruise, Bluetooth and exhaust switch and I'm pretty sure a reversing camera is also a pretty easy retrofit. There have been a couple of recent threads on bluetooth streaming that a search will find but buying an old iPod is probably cheaper.
It's the usual argument about modding an older car or getting a newer one. Just about anything you spend modding an older car you will not get back when you trade in whereas the newer car will depreciate more but is better in just about every other way. The choice is yours.

Did you suggest a change of car, after seeing the very long list of previously owned cars?
John is probably at a dealership right now, drinking that expensive coffee.
1,2 & 3 can be sorted by James at Trackaphone

Bamford Rose would be my preferred Indie to do 4 & 5
In fact I think James visits BR from time to time so you could probably get it all done in one go

I have just fitted this remote fuse 22 kit to my V8VR and it is super easy to install (no tools required).
The remote controls are small and good quality.
An excellent and elegant solution

2. ViseeO Tune2air WMA1000
3. Dennison - James from Paralight (£ouch).
4. New steering wheel and software config change only ASAIK
5. 2 male spade crimps, 3m of 2 core cable and a switch in the ashtray. No batteries, always works!!
James is booked to fit Dension to mine on Friday morning. Looking forward to finally being able to plug an ipod in.
I'm tempted by cruise too, but I assume that new steering wheel + programming etc. is going to be in the ballpark of £1k which is a bit too much for a "nice to have" for me.

Good to see Clive extending his Aston range. I have bought a couple of battery chargers from him which are just like the Aston ones. I have contacted him about the switch - my wife likes it because she thinks she will be in control of the noise No affiliation - just a good guy to deal with - and he has an Aston so knows them very well! The remote controls are small and good quality.
