Are we having burgers around 1ish and then Thai in the evening? Or meeting later in the afternoon and then on for the Thai after drinks?

I'm easy either way although I'll miss my burger smile
Errrrrrr burger cannot be missed, afternoon talking bks and then a Thai in the evening is good for me.
Sounds like the usual time then... ie about 12:45 onwards.
Lucky those who join us later. At least they'll have Johng39 to talk "sense" with

The D&D room is booked.
George, you could try the St Giles hotel which will be about £79.
I've never stayed there but know people who have and they've survived OK.
It's in a fairly nice area. It's not the Waldorf. About a five minute walk from the D&D

Training is not going well for this. I've not had a drink since the weekend, and that was a fairly tame one.
On the 18th I might just nurse a Babycham for the afternoon and nibble some olives...
Or I may not...

As Woollie says.
"We're gonna need a bigger room".
Actually I reckon unless we breach about 25-30 people we should be just about OK. We may have to eat in shifts.
Yeti will partake of all of them though!
Bloody gannet!

These get togethers sound like a riot, I haven't yet partaken in a PH outing of fellow Aston owners, are newbies allowed?
David. You would be most welcome.
If you are coming, it would be useful if you can add your name to the list which is currently standing at 18 maybe 19 so I can ensure we have sufficient space/burgers/beer!

Something light and hoppy circa 4% beer
I've requested some 3.8% stuff... and lots of burgers.
We'll have the entire room to ourselves now!

That can only mean you have been searching for one of those yes
oopppsss..... I won't tell you about the other pop-ups then

PS I have NOT been searching for burgers!!! HONEST
I can only guess Tony was searching for "big dark meat between white baps with special sauce" hehe

'Sucker' would be more appropriate, for both of you smile

I've just got up, tea rewarmed and eggs boiling merrily... have just discovered Mrs Yeti has eaten the last of the bread though cry
True, true, but some of us have to work for a living, well at least show our faces in the office.... I don't have a wealthy wife or run an insurance company or indeed regurgitate the same report time after time and charge a kings ransom for it wink
I know it's tough, Neil. Just crawled out of bed, skarfed a bacon buttie and about to grab a train to pop into the/an office for 2 hours.
Then I'll see you in 3+ hours

Sorry I had to leave early. For rather personal reasons it's been a crap day for me and the missus.

I can't believe how difficult it is to find a taxi in London! I've been walking around for 25 mins trying to find one, finally got one. Just what I needed after a terrible nights sleep in the most overpriced, noisiest travellodge!
That's why I suggested the St Giles. It's only a 10 min (max when really plastered) walk away from D&D and probably 15 from Euston.
