Hi all

Sold my Vantage in September (wrongly) and now the itch is returning severely !

Was looking at a 4.7 V8 but after scratching about on the net, there seems an influx of low mileage DBS's (which is my ultimate aspirational car) for £80k..... Prob more like £75k on a deal with no part ex etc

Is this because the Vanquish is arriving on drives and DBS's are coming in ? What sort of lowest value might a DBS hit, or is now a great time to buy in the void so to speak ???

Hmmmm interesting....

Guess a dealer will disagree and say they aren't far off bottoming out

Around 7 late 08's, mostly black, all under or around 80k

May test some dealers out at 75k and see what happens

Thanks for all the thoughts guys

Not just now, I wonder if a DBS would ever go below 60k, if well cared for and low-ish miles ?

If it wont, £75k now will prove to be a decent low depreciating animal

Apart from obvious consumables such as clutch and tyres, the other major servicing difference would be the ceramic disks, about £6k to replace I believe. Anyone got a view on how often they would replacing under normal road use and 5-6k per year mileage ?

Sorry, meant just the discs themselves at £6k. 100k miles seems about right so would need to be very unlucky re cracking etc for them to go.....

Agre with a lot of the comments, after driving one it is clearly not a tarted up DB9, Awesome thing !!!

Wouldnt normal discs instead of the ceramic disrupt the abs etc ???

Hi, yes I did

Cant say why but just love the look of the DBS... Still like the original V8V's as just have an originality about them which is lovely...

V12 amazing, lets face it these cars are all great !

Not going to take any on track tho and feel the slightly more refined DBS will suit me 99% more than the v12

Cost of ownership is a concern, as it is with any AM, as not mega wealthy, just work hard and give up things to own one, run one. But that said once I have one it wants for nothing.

Also own 2 Ducatis so used to expensive love affairs !!!

Didn't think it would take you long to get the bug again Mark! You'll be pleased to know your last one's still running beautifully. Get a DBS, then when you tire of it, well, you know where I am wink
Fab, so pleased she went to you my friend and that she is till running so well

Let u know if the Big one arrives, probably May time as troublesome neighbour (who has access rights on our drive) having major house work done similar to the room we built. Dont fancy skips and bricks piled next to a new DBS !!!

Thanks guys

Any stories of ownership / issues good and bad always appreciated...

As expensive as AM's are to own you cant help but want them !!!

Servicing / tyres / consumables (think the CCM debate is put to bed with no nightmare stories of £15k work needed) are just best off known before going in to ownership again, especially at DBS level for me... Eyes wide open and all that...

Once work done on neighbours house the hunt will start...

Those two Ducatis look the bks! Know what you mean about the DBS, they do look stunning.
Thanks !!!

Ther 1098 has since had a 3k re-work at the Ducati factory to give it the full Fluro Rossi rep (shame he'sfled to Yamaha) !!!

Would look even nicer with a black DBS in the background ;-)

Thanks huys

Know a bit about the financial side as used to be a RM for a few garages...

Not in any dash (apart from how once you've decided, then you want one on your drive asap)....

Going to look at a few and will offer low and see what they say !!!
