Does anyone know anything about this car? It will be my first venture into the world of AM so any hints or tips to look out for would be very much apreciated.

Current plate is TAZ6841 but that will go. Registered '07.

What do you all think about the pricing? I'm not sure its ever had a clutch change by the sounds of it so i'm guessing it'll need a new one of those soon. I was thinking about asking the owner to get a full 140 point check at the local aston garage - if I pay for it. Is this the best way to get it checked or would you recommend something else?

Thanks for all the help.

Thanks again for all the great feedback. I was thinking of getting the 140 point check as it would show up wearable items ? such as the clutch and pads etc that aren't covered in the warranty? I agree however this would be pointless if the warranty covers everything in the 140 point check - is this the case?

I do love the black - think it looks great but i understand its probably going to take a lot of cleaning (my last was dark blue and showed up a lot) however i'm sure cleaning an Aston is quite enjoyable especially when its your own ;-) ?

Thanks again to everyone for all the help....

V handy indeed. Does anyone know a decent specialist just outside north of M25 that could check out the car for potential issues?

Thanks for all the info.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm now the proud owner of a V8 Vantage :-) I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent independent in the south west London area? Also I had the car checked over before I bought it to make sure there were no serious problems. I cant quite believe how thorough they were. Total cost to get it all fixed was estimated around £1300. However the car is still under warranty. This is what came up.....

Left hand drop glass misaligned.
Right hand seat belt frayed.
Door mirrors juddering.
Coin in ash tray requires new fuse..... Yes this really came up.
boot bolt cover missing.
boot hinge stops not connecting - need adjusting.
Wiper arms juddering.
Left hand door handle LED dim.
Nearside front shock leaking.
Rear speakers crackle ..... I really cant hear this.
Door strikers rusty.
Left hand washer jet blocked.

Does anyone have any idea what might be covered under warranty and what is not?

Also I've managed to connect My IPhone 5 via the Bluetooth connection however when people call me it goes straight to answerphone. Any ideas?

All help Very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks Gettoff,
V happy indeed. Smile every time I see it. :-) I bought it from a private owner in north London. The local Aston garage up there checked it over for me. I could go back there but its a bit of a pain to get to to be honest hence why I'd like something south west. I'll try the local Aston garage to see what I can get done on the warranty by the sounds of it and then maybe sort the rest if its a reasonable quote with them else go to Trinity engineering?

Again - massive thanks for all the help - All V new to me.

:-)

Trinity engineering would be a good start.
+1 - only ever had great service there, Tim and team know their stuff and the classic stuff they usually have floating around... cloud9

ETA - seat belt should be covered as it's a primary safety device, wing mirrors need some light oil - simple, fuse - pop down to halfords - also simple. The rest someone like Mikey will know the deal with warranty smile Enjoy!

Perfect - Thanks Krisdelta. Any specific oil I should use? Assume i just pour into the moving arm joint?
