Dawg from kent

Goodness Ed, a lengthy epistle.
I will read all of your thoughts later.
I agree with the opinion, that our standard of debate over the past few months has declined.
The fight with the man from 'the other side' (how is it possible to have a website, without leaving any record of the website address?) was in my opinion understandable, and a very rare situation. The way he came blundering in here. would have caused trouble, whoever did that.
I try to introduce some humour from time to time, and perhaps it might fail. However, someone recently did say that one of my jokes made them laugh, so might continue with occasional Basil Fawlty stuff, until told to stop.
ON TOPIC
John Francis (Ikebaddog) wants an explanation, but it does not appear to have been provided. I do not know what it is all about, except that John states he lives in Kent, and has dog as part of his nickname.
If we are to become good people again, please someone answer John's question properly.
Thanks jon39, i don't think it's too much to ask.I will read all of your thoughts later.

Afternoon Ed,
What an excellent post
However it has to be pointed out that IMHO nobody is trying to protect their mates simply the marque and the innocent.
Sadly from time to time outsiders turn up and unless we all collectively agree with their opinion all hell breaks loose. It always fascinates me why people ask questions when the only answer they want is the one they want to hear.
Group hugging is the way forward come join us at the D&D one day, it's the only way we can stay upright circa 7pm
Nick off to meet Bins for a pint. We are the clique within the clique within the clique
This thread started with me asking why Woolders had called me a Dawg, in response to my reply on Yeti's post....nothing to do with the Marque....of which I am Staunch supporter......more to do with, as you put it...the clique within the clique, i since have received a P.M. From Woolders explaining that Dawg, is an abbreviation of Dog! .....eh? Now i didn't have much of an education, but I thought an abbreviation was, for want of a better explanation, a shorter version of a word.... Not a longer one. What an excellent post

But,as an outsider, I await your vilification.

Oh really. Would you care to elaborate,?Woolders seems a bit reluctant.
Woolders has been to a Memorial Mass and lunch at Sandhurst so has been out of touch with Pistonheads. I have answered your PM but since you have also posed the question on here, now I am back in touch, I will answer it.Dawg as in Deputy Dawg, the cartoon character. As someone points out above, it is not an insult.
Buzz off you pesky mutt!

Sometimes John, I don't know what they are talking about, but it does not bother me.
Certainly straight talking can sometimes make things easier to understand.
George is one of the straight talkers on here.
I remember George was in a flap once, when a window on his DB9 was stuck open, and it began to rain. Instead of simply putting a plastic sheet over his car (does he really design aircraft engines ), he began asking this forum what to do. The conversation became ever more bizarre, involving an absent horse and a stable full of spare motorcycle fairings. Very funny.
The 'Dawg' comment seems to be an abbreviation of your PH nickname, but what does Ikebaddog mean?
Agreed Jon, things have got a little bit out of hand, but no harm done i hope? Ikebaddog has no meaning, I have an American Bulldog called ike.......i'm used to shouting.....Ike, bad dog!.....Certainly straight talking can sometimes make things easier to understand.
