Paris '08: Aston Martin One-77

Partially revealed mega-Aston is surprise star of Paris Motor Show...

Aston Martin surprised visitors to the Paris Motor Show by wheeling out a full-size version of its £1million One-77 hypercar onto its stand. The bad news was the car was only partially revealed, with just the front bumper and a single headlight temporarily on show.

From what we could see the One-77 will have obvious Aston DNA but has far more outlandish styling than other models in the range. The car is huge and has a planted-looking stance, riding on lightweight forged aluminium wheels.

The front has familiar Aston styling but features a huge slash running from the lights to the bottom of the bumper. The car will reportedly be powered by a 7.3-litre V12 and we look forward to seeing it without its sheet very soon...

God that look incredible. However.

MORE BLOODY TEASERS????

This is worse than being drip fed teaser flicks. Did no-one have the balls to rip off that table cloth, take a few snaps and leg it?

They'd have made a packet, and people like me very happy.

So its hard to judge the scale from just the pics- but perhaps this 'hyper-car' is a bit too close in design to the current Aston line up.

The bits on show look great, but for the price of 10 vantages.....

Looks really good... from what I can see!

I'm getting really sick of these marketing gimmicks with the crap low lighting pictures, sheets covering just about everything or mini-websites with no info about the car in question. Just show the bloody car!

I think Aston's design studio is getting as lazy as Porsche's.

Probably the Aston V12 stroked and/or bored.

I agree with Paperboy, all of Aston's cars are too closely linked [from a design point of view]. The One-77 just looks like a big Vantage - though I guess when they all look sooooo good, I can't blame them for this close link?!?!

£1 Million less in my bank and i own a car that has headlights sprayed similar to chav's on there nova's!

Lazy with the headlight design...it'll be just v8 or db9 headlight units disguised

I doubt they are the actuall headlamps. It's just scale model at the moment.

On another note, £10 to the first person who smuggles in a fishing rod and removes that dust cover!

What is going to make that car worth £1million other than exclusivity because that puts cost-wise above a McLaren F1, similar to a Veyron etc.
