Blimey, you'd think with all the attention to detail they'd have remembered to put both headlights in!wink

Car looks mega.

Wow, that Supra is so ugly it's almost unbelievable. I don't care how fast it is, it is horrid.

I know you guys are impressed with this car but technically its not "full carbon fibre", it still has a metal shell underneath.

It is less impressive than the Japanese GT Supras and of course the Castrol sponsored and the Denso SARD Supras that raced at Le Mans.

As somebody asked, the entire car has cost 909,000 Kroner, or £90k to you and me.
Be interesting to know how that has broken down into the various areas of the build. It's a feck of a lot of money IMO for the result, but if the engine cost £70k and is a typical sum for that sort of engine, then it's not quite so bad, IYSWIM.

I suspect they hope to recoup some costs by selling copies of the CF bodykit...

1290kg wet.

The tube framing should take it to 1250kg, the brakes will save a bit and the new turbo may save a smidge, I'll estimate at 1240kg wet.
Ooooh about the same as my Soarer then thumbup That's pretty (very) good for an A80 Supra & I guess its not going to get any lighter!!!

Often these big power cars have no air filter in photographs. Do they actually run them in anger with the turbo just sucking in any old crap?

If you look at the video footage of it on the dyno the air filter gets well & truly sucked up into the inlet yikes so yes it'd make a huge difference without one. Like loads of bhp. However running one even on track without is asking for big trouble sooner or later, you only need a bit of tyre pick up rubber to be sucked in & its game over turbo followed by lunching your engine.

Chris.
Just look at the dyno graphs - An all top end lag monster, hence the downsize of turbo I'm guessing
