I am going to be blatantly rude and ask how much they offered trade in on the MR2 (Email if you wish)

IE if it's cheap, would you sell privatly?

I will also not be offended if you tell me to bugger right off

Cheers, Phil

EDIT: 'cos "just right of the middle bit" can't be too far from my location, especially studying automotive type things.

The offer was three hundred quid.

The roof needs replacing (rust), the rear wings need replacing again, the side skirts no longer fit (the first set of rear wings were welded on in the wrong place), it has no history (I've done most of the servicing myself) and has about a month to go on the MOT.
My father-in-law has first dibs but if he can't afford the insurance (lowest quote 300 quid!) it's going to a mate who has already offered to double that figure.

Thanks for the interest. I have a set of alloys with 185/60R14 moulded slicks (road legal) that I will no longer need, I really must advertise those on PH.

Woohoo! I'm picking the 200SX up Saturday, I can't wait! I've sold the MR2 for a fair price too!

Like anyone else cares about me getting a new car

I care, so do the hedgerows! They are shaking in their roots. :groan:

Roll on the snow 'eh?

When Twink's fully healed I'll have to bring her over for a thrash.

Been there, done that, lost all the money when I sold it. It'll stay standard (any spare cash goes on my bike).

I'm already lurking on sxoc.com though.

List of faults with the 200SX on delivery:

* 3 inches dead travel in the clutch (new clutch just fitted),
* half an inch of slack in the throttle cable,
* 22mm toe out on the front due to a new ball joint fitted after my test drive.

Jobs done since delivery:

* fixed above faults,
* removed go faster stripes (why god, why?),
* removed a couple of connectors from the pop up light controller so the air brakes don't come on with the side lights,
* removed cigarette from handbrake trim,
* lubed seized bonnet hinges and straightened the brackets,
* tightened jubilee clip on the high pressure side of the inlet system to fix on boost air leak.

Still to do:
* fit 205/55/R15 rear tyres
* resist the urge to give it 15psi of boost for under 100 quid.

Hello - that's the second time I've seen these photos today. Nice spin - are you sure you want a GT4? Life will get boring...
