Don't get me wrong, I love my scoob but as standard they are 'quick' at best, not "uber-fast" and the standard car handles like an understeery bag-o-shite which happens to have loads of grip and traction.
Dial all the torgue to the back in mine and I can get the back out on a wet surface without too much problem. 
I love both the evo and the scoob, if you're worried about petrol go for an Aygo.....

I'll be in Fiji (Kadavu),Matava Resort, scooba diving. I hear the weather is very nice there now, not too hot and humid, 75F/80F. mild breezes and the water temp should be around 25C/26C. BULA!!! Sounds nice - we're supposed to get single figure temperatures and our first snowfall of the year tomorrow (and I have an exam in the afternoon!) but its been unusually warm so far this year - last year we had a dumping of snow in late April. Late May-early June is more normal for Dunedin though.

I don't even want to hear about any of that snow rubbish just now....i want SUN, and lots of it please!!! However, i will visit NZ sometime and sample the lush green countryside and fresh NZ Lamb. I'll pop by and see ya scoobieWRX said:

Hmmm,Obviously scoobys do no wrong.....
Had an Evo 8 MR 300 and the Bilstein suspension was fine even on rough roads, handling/performance/brakes superb for road use. Find a good independant for servicing and it's not too bad and for the record the EVO is MUCH better looking than an impreza.
I've driven both and although the scooby is a nice car it feels lifeless compared to the EVO.
Depends if you want fast or fast and exciting.

Let me ask you a question though. If the scooby is such a lifeless car, and clearly by the way you come across, an inferior product to the EVO, why do Scoobys always come ahead of the miles behind EVO's in the WRC, Prod WRC and National/Local rally events??

Not slagging the scooby guys, as I said they are great cars. I've had old and new scoobys and EVOs and I prefer the EVO as I think it gives a better driver experience.
I feel the scooby is too refined (like an M3), I prefer a more 'seat of pants' feel to my car, and the only reason I sold the 8 was it was going that way. As a performance saloon I still reckon it's better than the scooby but each to their own.

No it isn't...both cars compete head to head in the same rallys with the same restrictions, have the same power and are modded similarly. Both Subaru and Mitsubishi have been rallying for about the same amount of time (years) and have had excellent drivers throughout the years. So why are scoobys better in competition, and have higher reliability on the road. Scoobies are better suited to rallying than EVO's although i think EVO's do much better on tarmac. However in the grand scheme of things i think Scoobys are the better all rounder on UK/European roads.
Im not talking about which is better at rallying im asking which is the better car for the road,
In any case if you go back to the days when Mitsubishi were rallying with Makinen look over at subaru then they were trying new technology and they had a spell of very poor results and retirments through reliability.Now its Citreon's turn to take the glory,in the WRC all cars are evenly matched but,its swings and roundabouts in this game.
Goes a lot on the drivers also when you get to this level.
