I agree about the exhaust note, nothing special is it?
My understanding is that the auto box is rated up to 400bhp. Not sure I'd want all of that in a car I use most days mind.
I'm in the northeast so will use EvoTune in Durham.
Probably give it a month or two. Save up the pennies. Can't wait!
From what I've read it's the torque that can ruin the clutch packs. There are some receipts from EvoTune for mine for a previous owner who had the option 3 pack fitted which consisted of a decat, fuel pump and a 3 port boost solenoid plus mapping. The dyno printout shows a flywheel readout of 381bhp which is pretty good for the cost involved. A later owner spent a small fortune to increase that figure by around 100bhp as that's the point where it needed uprated clutch packs, rods, turbo and associated mods. I use mine daily and whilst I don't really get to exploit the power that often it is great fun when the opportunity arises.

The Evo X is such an amazing car.
I've owned an Evo V and I'm lucky enough to get to work on and drive quite a lot of Evos.
A few people feel that it's come too far from the raw rally roots, but I love every aspect of the X. They feel very comfortable and refined and you could happily drive it daily, then take it for some B road blasting or around a track and drive home afterwards.
The first SST box I drove seemed like it couldn't decide what gear it like to be in, but once you get used to it, it's a great responsive box.
After our wedding this summer, I'll be looking for another Evo smile

Here's a couple of X's I got to work with last year. I done 5 in total smile
