New (to me) BMW 325ti compact - what next
Discussion
Hi all.
just bought this little monster and must say im thrilled with it! Had a VW V64mo before this and wondered how they would compare..... hands down this wins :-)
Anyway im looking to freshen its looks a little as although it doesnt loom to bad the wheels do datebit somewhat.
Im looking to get something like this done (see pics) what do you think?
I would like to stance it and have wider rears as well if possible.
Anyone gpt any advice or contacts and has anyone else done it (sure you have) and was there any problems etc.
Cheers

Congrats, great car to pick up!
In terms of wheels, personally I like the 18" MV2s on the E46 Compact, although if you wanted it period correct they would have been MV1s on the option list, which would then give you your staggered set-up. There was also a 17" M-Sport double-spoke wheel (225/245) that came as standard on the Sport model, but I can't remember the code number for it. IIRC it was a unique wheel for the Compact
As far as I recall, the 325ti SE came with the same suspension as the Sport, so as long as that's still in good condition I'd probably leave it alone. Be worth checking out the state of the springs though, as they are notorious for breaking in these
Also, while I was never a huge fan of the pre-facelift "Lexus" taillights these came with, I suspect with the colour of your car they probably work quite well
Enjoy!

Style 97s are the wheel you're thinking ofThey handle best on the square 205/55 16 setup IMO
The 17/18s certainly look good though

Always liked Compact and yours looks great. +1 on checking and replacing springs. New dampers would probably be a good move too.
Enjoy!
they go through suspension components like you wouldnt believe. i spent £900 on a refresh on mine in December. bushes are a constant need and i have read about a tendancy to snap rear springs too.Enjoy!

This is true for all the E36/E46 six pots though.A lot of people don't bother except with the MOT fail items....but it is worth it to feel the cars at their best
Good luck with the 'M' though
Nice colour
Ok so wettimg myself now as i think these will make such a visual differemce but i need some re-assurance that they will fit. They are slightly staggered and am now petrified they wont fit. They have curbing all round but am not going to worry about this til the spring. Was a bargain domt mind admittin.....
