Do e46 E39 X5 all use the same unit?

No - they look very similar and some people have sold them as the same.. But i'm led to believe that the screen is slightly different to allow for the different viewing angles that the driver has in the X5 vs the E39.

So when some cars have had the 4:3 unit replaced with the widescreen version problems have occured with seeing a decent picture in an E39 when fitted with the unit from an X5.

The E46 one is definately different from both E39 and E53.

Never worked for BMW but drive BMWs my good man.

Don't you have some IT problems to go and consult? I'm sure somebodies toner cartridge needs replacing.

I think he was pointing out you probably meant 'Illiterate'?

1. having little or no education ; especially : unable to read or write
2. showing or marked by a lack of familiarity with language and literature


I thought literate was fine however, if not the correct word to use in this instance.
