That deal here is £440 a month all in, but no plus pack, just prof media, is that worth £140 a month to you??.

I consider the 430d to be a better engine option that the 430i.

That simply means that the figures quoted are vat inclusive, unlike a Contract Hire deal where it is all plus VAT.
Thanks, I went for that in the end!

Interesting, may I ask why? Is the 440i not out yet?

I was under the impression that the 30i engine is a 2 litre 4 cylinder, whereas the 30d engine is a 3 litre straight 6.

My reasoning is that the 30d will be more torquey and is quicker on paper.

Many thanks for sharing this - so when you add on the deposit it equates to £680 a month for the car. Maybe I am wrong here - but that sounds like a fair chuck of cash per month to drive a new car?
Personally, I agree with you, way too much for me. Even at my mileage (20k per year).

As nice as the 4 GC is, I think I would have to go for the 2 dr.

Here is it £275 a month.

So £324 with vat, with 9 months down, which is £396 all in.

I like the GC, but I wouldn't pay nearly 50% more to have the extra doors.

If the 430i was still a N/A straight six 3 litre would you still go for the 430d? I reckon most still would go for the 430d for its economy benefit and lower emissions, hence why the N/A straight six 3 litre petrol has been left in the history books now.

In the UK I would imagine almost everyone would choose a 435d over a 440i and I find that a shame in many ways but that is the norm in this country.

Me too and I am the same with the 6 series as well, but the 4GC and 6GC do seem to have the most kudos though and Coupes don't seem to be loved much nowadays.

I suppose with the love for SUV`s and MPV`s now people prefer the practicality of the extra doors.

The two door is nicer but also more expensive from what I've seen.

If you have kids, you need 4 doors. Take a peek at BMW sales data & seems the gran coupe larger engine is unpopular mind.

Even if you have kids you don't really need 4 doors and its never bothered me with the Coupes I`ve had, but appreciate it is less hassle and easier with four doors so I can see why they sell more of them and people prefer them.

Worth the pain in the rump though because the two door car actually looks like a sports Coupe...rather than looking like a Taxi with its four doors! biggrin

I think you're confusing it with a Mercedes

Both the 4GC and 6GC do look really well to be fair considering they have four doors, I just seem to associate four door cars as boring/practical ones...whereas I see a two door Coupe as something fairly sporty that's all.

If for example you stuck rear doors on my old TVR Cerbera or Nissan 200SX it would have been a travesty for me and I cant stomach the way my 3 series saloon looks with its four doors yet I love the shape of my 6 series Coupe.

Appreciate I do have a funny mindset about it!

Thoughts?

I think I prefer the Metallic Estoril Blue over the Alpine White, I have seen both in the flesh. But I do think the Alpine White looks absolutely great, just when it is dirty it looks horrible.
