BMW 335i N54-N55 ?
Discussion
And anyway , we have new garden sofas arriving today and I have a half day vacation booked so I can fix them up now and I know there was zero chance of that happening if the BMW was delivered
So brownie points with Mrs LS and a happy home instead of me turning up red eyed and buzzing with adrenaline at 2330 tonight

Maybe this is a conspiracy and your missus hid the part from Audi.
"Ha, ha, I know how to get that husband of mine to set up the garden sofas, ha, ha,"

Actually She is looking forward to getting the BMW but I would never discount the conspiracy possibility Smuler
And yes if she had a choise between garden furniture erected and a 335i I know which would take preference
Any way I can go through the sweet torture of waiting again tomorrow all over again

So , here we are again , after yesterdays sweet torture I would just like to give a big shout out to the delivery company who deliver on behalf of Ocean garden furniture , after 3 days when they did not show up they finally turned up at 1830 and dumped it on the cerb
On unpacking yes you got it there is 1 large cushion missing , so Delivery drivers mail order companies car part suppliers especially You Audi-VAG I Salute you all
Still loving the new furniture and Mrs LS was especially thrilled with the bottle of wine and the sofa last night
So now then , lets see what today brings , surely VAG can not foul up the spare part delivery 3 days on the trot
Or can they

So the DVLA have just done the private plate swap and I have the final reg she will be on , checked the car out on the BMW warranty site and they want £550 a year for full comprehensive with £100- excess , sounds like a winner for peace of mind to me Just how bullet proof wriggle proof are the BMW warranty's ?

almost unanimously it was deemed the only warranty to buy for anyone either out of AUC warranty, out of manufacturer's warranty, or buying their BMW, like you are, from a non franchised dealer.

Well the car is from a non franchised dealer , and is sold with that 12 month AA warranty http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html
but i am thinking if i can get it on a full BMW warranty for £550 a year it would just take away all the stress of ownership , or is the AA warranty going to be man enough for the job

Hi mate, I've had a e92 335i coupe for 2 years now. I swapped the runflats for Falken FK453 as they seemed the best compromise of performance and price. Much better ride without RFT's. They are great cars and pretty rare, at least around me.
I also have BMW warranty for mine. £30 a month I think it is. for that price it's a bit of a no brainer.
They do seem pretty rare cars yes , jezz £30- a month is a great deal I also have BMW warranty for mine. £30 a month I think it is. for that price it's a bit of a no brainer.
I am back , so after 7 years of diesel I am back in a 335i I can not tell you just how over the moon I am with this car she is really a lovely all round sporty car and the sound although I can not find the bypass to unplug in the back it all looks different in the back of the convertible
And she comes with with the added bonus of an invoice for the high pressure fuel pump being replaced last year , the exhaust sound the steering the handling , the A5 3lt tdi was a fast ish car but the suspension was really crashy over anything other than billiard smooth road surfaces , the BMW has just as firm suspension but is so compliant , the steering is precise and lovely to use and a perfect weight not had the roof up and it will need to be raining for me to put it up
Had a hospital appointment at Brighton this morning so a nice 0730 start roof down which turns any drive into a mini adventure (well for me it does)
And here she is
Thanks you to all for the words of wisdom , I am sure I will be back to pick your brains at some point in the future if that's ok

Very nice.
Exhaust mod should be the same as the E92. Open the boot, take the cover off the back of the nearside tail-light. Disconnect the connector that is right in front of you.
II am sure it will be easy enough if I took a serious look at it , I am too busy driving right now Exhaust mod should be the same as the E92. Open the boot, take the cover off the back of the nearside tail-light. Disconnect the connector that is right in front of you.
But the section back left side in the utube vids does look different on the convertible , no biggy iam sure I will sort it today

Cool, glad you're loving it;) maybe someone on E90post would have E93 golf tee mod guide/video??
Have seen the Vids on it , have had a chance to take a look now and the inside of my E93 boot is totally different to the inside on the E92 in the vid ?I have opened and poked about in all the little cubby holes and hatches but no luck finding it

Easiest way is to stick your head under the bumper and pull the vacuum tube off the actuator then plug it with something.
Much easier than trying to find and undo the plug and just as reversible
I a willing to try that route , so at the back is it clearly visible ?Much easier than trying to find and undo the plug and just as reversible
Which side is it ? so just unplug it and stick a golf T in it , what about the actuator just leave that open ?

Move from what reading?
Mine gets to 100-115 fairly quickly and sits there apart from very spirited driving and/or hot days if that's a factor.
Can't give exact distance but I'm sure it's around that by 15 miles tops. and longest regular journey I do is 40 miles.
OK , yes about 15 - 20 miles , just seems a long time before it even moves off the stop Mine gets to 100-115 fairly quickly and sits there apart from very spirited driving and/or hot days if that's a factor.

but then I am not used to an oil gauge and seeing how quickly oil warms up so it sounds about right then , Thanks Smuler

I've been weighing up the 335i convertible and was wondering what it's like compared to the coupe? Obviously there's an extra 200kg of weight but with the sports suspension is there any noticeable difference?
Yes.If you want to just waft about in a cruiser vert then it won't matter - but then if that's the case why bother with the added expense of the 335i....?
All that extra grunt is wasted in the heavy, floppy chassis of the vert ........... IMHO.
