I see that vendor also sells the carsoft version - I was hoping the one cable would work with carsoft also?

Hope you don't mind but I downloaded the EDIABAS Software too but I can't seem to get it to install.

I keep getting the message " LZH Archive not found " and then "Error 11006: etc etc"

Am I doing something wrong?

There is a word file and a readme, read them, one is in german, but just follow the pictures.

I don't mind people downloading it, I will remove it once I get close to my bandwidth limit.

Buy a laptop and a pcmcia - rs232 adapter.

ok, I have the company lappy with a pcmcia adapter and I can download sw to my desktop, all I need is a tool off ebay?

Sorry...must be me but I've followed the instructions in the read.me and the word document and I still can't install it. I can even read the german so I can't figure out what I must be doing wrong?

Looked up on Google and it says there are versions of EDIABAS around missing this LZH Archive?

Hmm, I haev tried to install it and it turns out that this version is in german!

Can't find what I installed on my pc as it's english!

Which is the main app? The EDIABAS Toolset 32 app has an "English Version" option if you go to the config (CTRL+T)

I installed it following the instructions in the readme, and indeed got a german version. I then re-installed it again and selected "BMW Group Rectifcation Programs UK" instead of "Nachbearbeitungsprogramme " and now i get the same screen up but in english this time - so maybe thats it?

no.

The install path is quite long, for example mine is:
C:\stuff\car\bmw\BMW.Softing.EDIABAS.INPA.ELDI.NCS.NFS\BMW\INSTALL

How deep is your folder structure where you placed your download? try moving it to c:\test and extracting it there and then doing the install.
