I'll probably stick a thread up on mine on Sunday as I'm off to the rugby tomorrow.

A guy at work is desperate to get a 730d of a similar age but hasn't got the balls to jump in and do it. I keep on at him to do it! So much car for the money. Do you like yours? I love the colour, what is it called. Colour is BARBERAROT METALLIC (A39)
Great value for money.
So far the only niggle was with the wiper washer getting blocked.
Just removed the filter and now works perfectly.
Besides that it has been faultless.

Haha! wiper jets, they are buggers!! I will use your good report as more ammo for why he needs to man up!
A design flaw with the filter. Gets clogged up and then the washers do not work. Pain in the ass to get to, have to take the nearside front wheel off and remove the cover in the wheel arch to get at the bloody thing!
2 minute job once you get to the filter.
I did try the steradents in the bottle wash trick but this did not work.

I did this the other day on my E92 M3 the day before its MOT. It is a pain in the arse to do. Pain in the ass to get to, have to take the nearside front wheel off and remove the cover in the wheel arch to get at the bloody thing!

Just remember which way the two inner arch liners slot together. The bottle is held in by one bolt and all the electrics and hoses are quick release couplings. The pumps and filters fit into rubber bungs and are interference fits.
The bottom of my tank and the two filters were covered in a gelatine type slime. This is apparently a chemical reaction between various brands of screen wash that in time start to congeal to form a jelly.

I posted these a while back in reader's cars but should be here too - 10 years of 5-series ownership for me. E39 530i Sport, E60 530d M Sport (I did a PB 133k miles in this one) and the latest addition F10 535d M Sport. You can't beat a good 5-series!
Fantastic car history! The new F10 is especially nice. How are you finding it?Roo3Stuart said:
