I'm sorry, but the more I dug around underneath the more rust I found - behind the front wings at the bottom was terrible and I didn't even need a socket to remove the front part on the one rear trailing arm.

you know, i can still remember the days when people used to say the e36 was rust proof, apart from maybe little scabs on the rear arches, none had rust anywhere else!
