I concur.
Absolutely, I wish he'd take his ill-informed and opinionated drivel and bugger off.

More pictures please! Can we start with some interior pictures of the nice 6 above (that's an SE, right? A reasonably rare sight if so!) please?

I don't think I've ever seen an SE on the road.

All in here individually, but as this thread is getting boring (according to CRA1G) here are my BMWs together.

E24man, I've said it before, that's a fabulous little collection. Not just beautiful but rare and highly collectible too. I rather like your house, too!

Thanks but the house was rented and we've now moved, and as for the cars being collectable, I'm not so sure; they might seem desirable but the E24's rust like the 1970's designed cars they are (unless you're very protective of them), big E38's are ten-a-penny and most people don't think a B12 is anything more than a badge-job on a 750i. The E34 is fairly anonymous and actually so rare many people didn't believe they were ever made or what they are; the E39 is a nice car but lives in the shadow of the M5, especially in online discussions.

Rare, yes; collectable, probably not and unlikely to be for a long, long time.

They are all taxed, tested and running nicely though smile

Did you get the 635CSi started then after the welding?

Yes, after a four hour alfresco battle with a bell-housing mounted/corroded/differential-metal-welded failed speed reference sensor, 'B'stard car' started perfectly smile

I'm so so envious of your M1.

Please can you post more pics for me to drool over?

The B12 was a very different beast - 5.7 engine, for a start, right? The Alpina E39 had a hang sight more torque than the M5, albeit at the cost of turbocharging IIRC. Plus, yours is a Touring, and there only was ever one factory E39 M5 Touring...

M1 with a ropey old E24 - they would be the same colour if it wasn't for the rust on the E24...... and if any more of it rusts away they might get close to the same weight.
