Indeed. Earlier reports predicted 2015. But dates do slip, don't they?
No, they don't - BMW are like clockwork. Every model lasts for 7 years with a facelift in the middle.E34 - 1988 to 1996
E39 - 1996 to 2003
E60 - 2003 to 2010
F10 - 2010 to 2017
Gxx - 2017 to 2025
Last September marked the halfway point of the F10 production with the release of the LCI model.

And ofcourse I know C = 3 series but IMHO the 3 series is not a patch on this new C class.
I think the 3 series is more than a patch on the C Class, there isnt a single publication anywhere in the world that says a C Class is 'better'.AMDB9 said:
Absolutely true sir - but the majority of time I base my buying upon my own test drive experience rather than those of publications and IMHO the C class is better than the 3 series for my requirements....I must add here that i have a new Jaguar XE on order and may well think that's better than both the C Class and BMW
I love everything about the new C (Well, miserable engine range aside) but what totally kills it stone dead is the ridiculous 'lets pretend its a tablet because tablets are cool' infotainment screen which looks like it's been randomly stuck on the dash by somebody who didn't spec a proper nav system.knitware said:

Sure a C Class maybe pretty, and this is ok for some, but when it comes to engines and chassis the C Class is left wanting.
I have read a few articles where they have said the new C Class is doing the Merc thing again and if you want wan that over what BMW offer with theirs then it is a great alternative again, like it used to be. BMW are great is you only own one car imho, if you have something fun as well, then something like a Volvo or Merc can be very appealing.
I own a 520d m sport 2011 xenon ,sat nav ,boot lip etc , side badges , read badge etc..registered in 2012 (brought on the road in Jan 12) done 46000 miles on it ,,just want to say that it surely is a magnificent car-fast, realisable, comfortable (IN ECO MODE)..and jfyi it has the twin scroll turbo which is almost as equally powerful as the twin turbo in the other 5 series tier models. Last but not the least - it's a quick seller as compared to the 530d. Cheers!
Just spotted this topic. I've just purchased an approved used F11 525d, the six pot, a nice low mileage 2010 example with some great options including the Pro Navigation, Sports seats etc. It's an absolute peach of a car - far and away the best car I've ever owned.
Drove it today in rain and howling wind and it's equally at home on A roads as it is on the motorway. So little wind noise - the cabin is extremely well isolated. Very hushed, refined, solid, beautifully made, and I'm running out of superlatives...!

Struggling with this myself.
Getting rid of a VXR vectra, which has stupid amounts of power.
520d's are all over the place, but i suspect it's power might leave me feeling empty.
525/530d's are rare, expensive (boarding on overpriced), and often poorly specced when they do come up.
Exact problem I had. e350 seem to be much more common and is a great car and engineGetting rid of a VXR vectra, which has stupid amounts of power.

My 2 year lease on the 520d M Sport auto ends in June and for the first time in my life giving serious thought to leasing the identical car again. Rates are now even lower (sub £250 pm). Awesome machine for the money. Scrub that, just an awesome car.
Rates in June will be much higher - it's sub £250pm a month now because the F10 is right at the end of its life. Production ends next month and any leases for June delivery next year will be the all-new model which, as it'll be box fresh and right up to date, won't need anything like the level of manufacturer support the F10 currently has to keep the sales volumes up.I'd imagine the discounts will start to gradually creep on the longer the new model is in production for.

I did this. Now on my second leased 520d Msport in succession. Just got a different colour. I think the engine map has been changed as the spec sheet now shows a slightly higher bhp. Feels slightly more spritely and smoother than my last one.I am aware a new model will be around next year, but the run out deals on this one just made it compelling.

im guessing you now have the B47 engine which replaced the N47 now with 197bhp?
