I'm having trouble finding any run flat groups tests on the interwebs. Looking to keep the RFTs and want to see what's best right now.

Anybody seen any?

With the current state of UK roads i would ditch them, i changed mine and the ride was much much more compliant.

Just ditch them, they are shocking.

My old man had had 4 flats and two ripped sidewalls in 22 months of 5 GT ownership, swapped for proper tyres and some 12 months later not any problems at all.

Micheling Pilot Sport zero pressure is the best of a bad bunch.

Thanks all. I'll consult with The Boss to see about getting them changed. When I saw 5GT I thought you were talking about a Renault with RFTs! ;-)

Changed over the tyres now from Pirelli Snowsport winter tyres to Michelin Primacy HP ones. Apart from being very slippery (they're new tyres still bedding in), I'm amazed how quiet and comfortable these tyres are. Much better than the Bridgestones they replaced.

Also, big thumbs down to Halfrauds for telling Asda Tyres they do fit run flat tyres to get the business, then moaning at me how difficult they are to fit (I don't care!), then taking over 2hrs to fit them!

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE50 on the front and Michelin PS Zero Pressure on the rear. Absolutely terrible ride on my E89 Z4, but thankfully I'm getting them changed tomorrow to Goodyear Eagle F1 AS2's all round tomorrow. Can't wait!

Bridgestones - rubbish
Dunlops - better ride, poor grip
Pirellis - much better ride, OK grip
Contis - good compromise grip/ride
Goodyears (the latest ones) - didn't realise the car had runflats.

All from my experience on various MINIs/SWMBO's 1-series and BMW courtesy cars. I quite liked the Goodyears... Although I elected not to have runflats on theM135i.
