Of course the D3 beat the 330i, it was the convertible.

The D3 weighs 1490kg and the 330i weighs 1780kg, on a track a weight advantage like that is massive, plus the E93 has a much softer suspension set up than the 330i coupe due to all the extra weight.
The coupe is also .7 seconds quicker than the convertible and 225kg lighter, would have liked to have seen a comparison between the two coupes as they are both the same sort of price and two cars I would like to swap over too.

A D3 Bi-Turbo touring is appealing, just so expensive!

If you click on the "Formatting Help" link at the top of the message entry box you'll find a lot of funky things to do... smile

haha.

I love the Alpinas, the ride is sublime, and the twin turbo 123d is a fantastic engine and makes sense for someone buying a company car who is only allowed a diesel and nothing over 2.0 litre.

...and the chassis, and the transmission, and the ride quality, and the efficiency...

The chintzyness is all optional and user specified anyway - mine is all sober black buffalo. smile

I'd have a 335d every day of the week. Plus i think those alpina alloys look very dated.

I also think the front valance/splitter and blue dials looks a bit 80s on the Alpinas

I think in the right colour combo it is a nice motor, plus it will return pretty close consumption as the 335d.

It's the D3 they are talking about not the B3.
