Replaced the pipe that links the two tanks but two faults still exist.

When the tank's full it only reads 3/4 full.

Also, when the fuel level reaches reserve there's no low level warning light.

Anyone suffered the same?

What cured the problem?

Thanks.

Just had the same problem on a Merc, albeit petrol, two does of redex cleaner and it was back to normal.

Could be the same thing, the sensor to tell where the level is gets covered in crap over time.

Hi Giz,

Do they do redex for oil burners:-)

I'll certainly try this but it's my luck it won't be something so simple.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what is available mate, hence why mentioning mine was a petrol.

Do Millers to a cleaner??

I just didn't believe this would be the problem and was amazed that it worked almost straight away. Worth a bash for a sub £10 outlay.

Thanks again.

I'll go search my local parts store at the weekend.
