Recently had a new screen fitted after a crack appeared due to being hit by a stone, anyway if i do not have the aircon switched on and the fan directed at the screen it just mists up.This happens no matter what the weather conditions, wet , dry,and no matter what temperature settings i try.
This has only started since new screen fitted.
Any ideas?

Have you cleaned the inside of the screen with some windowlene since? It may have some factory covering of sort.

My last car did this, some Rain X anti mist did the job.

I did think that the air pipes from the bulkhead may be wet but as you, this happened even in summer.

The fitters actually cleaned the screen prior to fitting.
The Rain X sounds like a good idea I will try it.
Cheers

Does it clear after a few seconds, or does it remain misted.

As soon as i turn the aircon on the screen is clear within 10 seconds.
If i turn the aircon off and just have the fan directed on the screen, irrespective of temperature setting the screen mists up again within a couple of minutes.

The aircon dehumidifies the air and cools it, when you switch the a/c off, the vents are still cool but become more humid, making the water condense in the vents and blow onto the screen, turn it hot and point to the screen and keep it running for a few mins, that should cure it.

I also wouldn't bother turning the A/C off.
