Brake pads on a Z4, is it easy to...
Discussion
Jack the car up and remove the wheel. Also take the top off the brake fluid reservoir.
Carefully prise the piston back inside the caliper (screwdriver between disc and pad will do this, but wrap it in a towel so you don't damage the disc).
Undo the two bolts that hold the caliper to the carrier (they will be under plastic dust covers), and it will now be free. Take the old pads out, stick a load of copper grease on the new ones and insert them.
Put the caliper back on the carrier, tighten it all up, do the other side the same way, remember to put the reservoir cap back on, pump the pedal a couple of times and that's job jobbed!
