I received a booklet from my local BMW main dealer today. In it is a picture of the new 7 Series. It looks fantastic - Very elegant - Almost bordering on Maserati Quattroporte levels of beauty! Anyone else seen it? Loads of pics come up in a Google image search but none of them are of the exact car that is in the booklet I received today - The finish car is much nicer than these 'impressions' that are floating about online.

Have been using and driving them for the last month or so, they are a big step above the current model, so much more refinement, easier to drive/use. This is one that we have atm.

I think BMW have lost their way with this design, ignoring the kidneys that could a Lexus in some angels

Given Lexus originally copied BMW's.

I personally dont like it. I think the S Class is a nicer looking large car.

S Class looks much better, the new 7 is a Lexus clone from rear 3/4

Im not one of those forum bandwaggoners that instantly jumps on BMW posts and exclaims "Eeew! Ugly!" (As you see in every X6 post, even though I quite like it) But I think this 7 series and the one before it are serious eyesores.
Each to their own I guess..

I like the X6, at least it looks like a BMW and not an RX400h ;-)

This just looks like it's trying to be a Lexus LS600

Looks ok (I like the exhaust tips). I'd have to see it in the flesh though.

yes Would expect a certain amount of elegance from a flagship model.

Previously the 7 was a German car the Americans happened to like as well.
Now looks like a car built for Americans.

Appreciate that the USA is no doubt the biggest market and all that..

If you think the D is enormous, wait till you get in the long wheel base....

Have to agree with previous posts re : E38. BMW had nowhere to go but down after this model, and it certainly has. The new model is still fugly. (One quite funny entry on the "Stop Chris Bangle" online petition a couple of years ago said : "I hate myself. Signed C. Bangle"
