Patch panel cosmetic query...
Discussion
Hi All,
Due to corrosion, my E36 requires a welded patch panel that will extend from underneath the car to part of the sill. It's an old car that's a bit of a tank -- a mere 318i pushing 200,000 miles -- and really doesn't warrant a professional respray once the work is done.
When I bought the car someone appeared to have touched up the bodywork with just a spray can, and whilst they also managed to spray the underneath of the car, the paint match was pretty much bang on (and actually looks pretty decent) -- so I'm hoping I can go for a budget friendly spray can based solution. (I'm not particularly good with bodywork, so ideally just want to spray and go!)
Would a BMW spray paint and lacquer suffice, or would Halford's be a better bet for a paint match?
Any and all tips appreciated!
Cheers,
Reca.
