Conditional Based Servicing - do you rely on it?

It is now 1.5 years since the last service item came up on the idrive. I do approx. 8k per annum and the car is 5.5 years old.

I think brake pads are the next item due but do you reply on the CBS info or does anyone revert to getting your car looked at every year?
