How can I stop the parking sensors from bleeping?

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to switch off the (irritating) AUDIO bleeping sounds of the Parking Distance Control (PDC) sensors, without having to shut off the visual display?

It is almost as annoying as the loud bleeping of the Seat Belt Warning light, when I am rolling into my drive-way at 2 mph.

I quite like the visual dashboard graphics, so would like to keep this up, but the i-drive only seems to allow an all or nothing setting.

It's on a 55 plate 535D.

DASH BUTTON - switches off both the audio and the visual.
I DRIVE - has same effect as above button.
BMW MANUAL - Info is not posted in the manual.
WHY? - Because it is an annoying bleep.

Will have a go at trying to disconnect the mini sounder manually.
