335i and 335d real world mpg figures

Hi all

Test drove a 335d M Sport saloon today (auto with paddles) and liked it very much but ideally wanted a 335i petrol. However, having seen the trip computer on the diesel showing 28.8mpg (6k miles on the clock) and was told to expect 10mpg less than the derv burner.

Can anyone give me any real world mpg figes for either or both cars?

Thanks all. Having read some other posts and having owned a 325i M sport i may actually start looking for a well spec'd 330i M sport coupe. Not sure the 335i running costs and initial purchase price are worth it for my usage and fairly high mailage (i do 15k miles a year +).

I have been looking for a Cayman S (i know totally different car) but am getting my ear bent to get 4+ seats and the bmw is the only other car i really like/want.
