Close up of my Whitham on acid' lid!

And side shot

Top

As with all of Richart's lids, the detail is amazing, it has a dust of flake all over it, smooth as glass too. I've been looking at it for hours since picking it up!! It's a new GT air with the flip down sun visor btw, hence a clear visor fitted.

And one with the 'old skool' version. This was his 2nd year scream lid, from ( I think) 1998 when he was on the factory Suzuki wsb. Photo doesn't show, but it is a coarse metal flake blue as a base. And of all my 'old lids' including foggy reps, able reps, the excellent suomy Hawaiian gold lid, a Rossi or two, this is my favourite. But I am liking the new one!!

Hahaha, I was telling Rich about your unlucky incident and the written off lid. Of course, the Acid smiley with flag motif you had on your Hizzy Hommage is from the Neeves lid that Rich at Richart designed and painted. When I told him about the green St Andrews flag you ended up with, he looked puzzled and said, 'perhaps he was colour blind!'

It adds a lot to the price of the lid relatively speaking, but when you see the workmanship and artistic prowess too, (genuine work of art IMO) it's dirt cheap! He reckons 20 to 50 hours goes into a lid and mine was quite complex!!

I only wear it round the house though in case I chip it! Hahahahahaha

I looked at his stuff at it looked great. I might have sent for a quote but not sure I got anything back.

anyway we all know I made a mistake in getting a local "artist" to do it. but I've seen his recent stuff and it's top notch.

still they both look like st after they have been down the road.

awesome looking lid though. he's the guy id go to next like.

I've been trying to justify the cost since deciding and going for it, but now I've got it. I'm like a dog with two dicks. Can't stop looking at it, (the lid, not my two dicks).

Everyone who rides bikes should have a custom lid done at least once in their life IMO. Or at least twice in your case!!!

Surprised that you are considering changing given how well the Arai held up at the weekend.
