I’ve got a Forza 350 for commuting and general running around on, it’s a great bit of kit. Huge storage capacity even without the top box, refined at speed (it’ll easily sit at above the legal limit and beyond should you want to), enough roll on power to overtake on A roads comfortably yet returns just shy of 90mpg. Decent handling too considering it’s a scooter!
I’ve just picked this up! Someone my Dad drinks with mentioned he was selling it because he’s too old to ride it anymore. My Dad gave me some rough details of what it was so I went and had a look the other day. He hasn’t used it for about 18 months but he’s charged the battery and it started no problem, so I agreed to buy it. It’s a 2003 Honda Silverwing 600. It’s done 15,000 miles and has full Honda service history (apart from last year). So this afternoon I walked the couple of miles to his house, handed over £500 and took it off for an MOT, which it passed once they’d chucked a headlight bulb in it! Not sure if I’ll keep it but I might buzz around on it for a bit.

I dont know if im a scooterist or motorcyclist anymore! Part of me want a repsol 'Blade, but think im more suited to a 300 Vespa.
Now the traffic in London is back to gridlock normal, I'm back on my Vespa 300. I dont know if im a scooterist or motorcyclist anymore! Part of me want a repsol 'Blade, but think im more suited to a 300 Vespa.
I have been railing back on thoughts of a proper bike again for a few years now but to be honest, for that commute, I appear to be the quickest out there (ex 1980s courier) and only struggle against loony Deliveroo riders. Proper bikes I leave behind and it does make me laugh as my battered Vespa has no badges and looks like a 125cc so I get surprised looks when it takes off at the lights
I do fancy either a CBR650 or a BMW 1200GS but I'd be a lot slower I'm sure.
Maybe if I ever move out of London and have to motorway and A road commute.
We've got a Sym 125 that was given to us by a sponsor, and we use it as paddock transport at BSB with a bracket on the back to tow a Fold it trailer with wheels etc in it
It's done up to look like my lads race bike, although as it has to be taxed and insured to get a paddock ped pass, I've used it to run errands out to local shops etc. It's pretty good fun, and I really like the simplicity of a moped instead of a proper bike, and the ped will do 60mph at a push
2021 Sym 125
The race bike it's supposed to look like
