Well I'm not a huge fan of London cyclists but I have to say most impartial observers of that video would blame the motorcyclist for the accident.

The cyclist was obviously using his phone but it looked like he was in the cycle lane, didn't deviate from his path and the motorcyclist tried to get through a space that just wasn't big enough.

But if the cyclist had had both hands on the bars would he still have fallen off? Both at fault IMO.

And if a car took you out when you had your hand off one of the bars for a moment, you would reckon it was all your own fault that you fell off more quickly?

Ducati rider was lucky to get away with that. He redirected the PC's attention into concentrating on the cyclist.

I love how the internet can turn people into crazy witch hunters. The original video wasn't even that bad. It wasn't deliberate, there was barely any harm done and he used the fact that he was on his phone in the middle of the road against the guy. Like anyone would. He hardly bragged about knocking him off he just made a comment on a forum.

I would disagree in so much as I think the guy deserves a slap... But at the end of the day the cyclist was fine, and if the victim isn't interested in pursuing trial by internet, then I think you both are right.
