Wow 3 months to plan a ride and it looked like nobody went
Possibly too much planning for the SE rideout? I also suffer from too-much-planned and not enough space for spontaniety.
The NW rideouts appear to go along the lines of "looks nice this weekend lads, who's up for it?" and they seem to actually happen.
I think I've next got some availabilty on 30th July ....

Started raining in Cambridge around 2.30 and it's raining a bit now in Essex (5pm) but I think a morning ride would've been fine
If ever people fancy a ride and are around Rayleigh area there's about 5-7 of us that go to Royston then to Finch early Sunday mornings. Not 125 friendly though

Hahahaha! Its about right for a forum organised meet up.To be fair we don't really do any big rideouts oops North any more, it becomes a pain with more than 3 or 4 people and it gets boring waiting around for folk all the time.

Aye. 4 is about perfect. 2 is best for speed and both nipping through on overtakes. 3 is sort of okay but 3rd rider is half blind because the 2 bikes in front naturally stagger. 4 is great as you tend to split into two pairs. I've lead 5 bikes 'round Europe for 2 weeks before and it starts to get hardwork keeping it all together - you end up thinking for too many people and staring in the mirror all the time. Even stopping for a minute turns into a palaver as everyone seems to stop their bike in neutral rather than 1st, take their lids off, earplugs out, take their gloves off (you know the ones with wrist and forearm straps), bit chilly - need to put my top on, bit sunny - need to change my visor, is that rain?, no-one ever turns up to the meeting point with a full tank so you all run out at different points, don't keep tight together going through traffic lights, don't even get me started on the foreign Péage motorways....

Shame the roads are still crap. You opened it up much? Bloody hooligan bike they are
I did open it up,red line in 3rd and 4th and had a couple of little wheelies, I think flipping a bike last month has messed with my Mojo. Only had jeans and trainers on so kept it in my trousersmoto_traxport said:

Put tc in 3 and pin it in 1st gear. It's got a primitive wheelie control that makes it just hop up and down upto the red line. If you want any decent acceleration you'll change tc to 1 or 2 but it's funny to try it. Wheelie control DOESN'T work in 1 or 2 so don't pin it or you'll do what you did last month Birky_41 said:
