who the fk are you then, craig? I'll know your name if your anything serious in the biking community
are you really that thick that you cant read a profile, or look back through previous threads??boggo standard honda's??
drivr a van??
work on bikes daily??
acu race license holder??
riding for over 20 years, erm yes, to all above.
all yes, plus more, more that means i can safely say that you sir are a complete retard with about as much knowledge of motorcycling as a single cell ameoba.
as for being in race results, no, not in them, i dont need to prove anything to anybody as im not an idiotic egomanic like yourself, and thirdly, im NOT your pal, in fact i wouldnt piss on you if you were on fire next to me, so if you really want to prove how good you are, which you seem to like doing, feel free to apply for a place on any grid next year, i fancy a laugh, but then again ive heard that the retards cup is taking aplications for its honda melody based series currently.
so , for know, why dont you go back and ask mummy where the rest of you dribbled down, because the way your acting currently, it sounds like you were the afterbirth.
ha ha this thread is legendary. To be fair to the lads, they found a 'hole' in the rules and used it. Whilst not exactly a sensible choice the track day organisers should be blamed for the loop hole. Should they let people on the track with no licence? Definitely not, but I can't help but think there won't be too many newbie riders out there with friends willing to lend them a 120bhp bike. Mind you, Have you seen how wobbly some licensed riders are after a 4 day DAS?
Fraz was lucky this time and fingers crossed for getting the licence sorted soon.

I still don’t understand why I am “lucky” I was merely sensible and within my own limits, which is no ones assessment but my own (if I was out of control im sure someone would of complained to an instructor or them themselves noticed?). As for licences the only one I am interested in getting is an ACU as a road licenece is completely irrelevant.
I also agree with Fergus when he says that this particular “Biker Banter” forum is very “cliquey”, although I have been given some sound advice (you’ll have to look hard for it) I have mostly been given negative criticism.
Thank you all anyway and this is defiantly the most interesting topic I have ever crated and I didn’t think it would cause such a stir!

What a wr you are, Craig. Thought the offer of a race would shut you up! You can can come on here and talk like a bike hero to your ill-informed minions but you ain't impressing me, nobhead. Want me to break it down for you? Standard 05/06 rear wheel weighs 7.5kgs, Dymag 6inch 5 spoke carbon rear weighs 4kgs. with a 520 chain conversion, renthal ally sprockets, titanium adjusters and axle nut it adds up to 4.5kgs of unsprung mass removed from the swing arm. moving along, the Akropovic system is about 4kg lighter than standard. The rearsets, bars, clip ons, penske shock, bodywork etc are all lighter than stock, as are the ally dzus fasteners and the replacement titanium bolts on the brakes and engine. The PC111 and Ohlins damper add weight but its negligable. Removing the pillion seat, pegs, indicators, mud guard, mirrors and various other bits completes the deal. You started the sgging match, Craig. I just came on to tell everyone how well my mate went and you had to jump in with yer snide criticism, like your some kind of omnipresent bike god with a bad attitude. Shame I'll never get the chance to kick yer arse, dickweed. Looks like its just you and me, Biker's Nemesis!
please, carry on, you do make me laugh....Fraz.K said:

perhaps the most sensible thing you have said since joining, get the assesment done by professionals and not your mate, that way you know where to set your targets and to improve!!Edited by castrolcraig on Monday 22 September 20:38

- THIS* is the crux of the argument in the end. Assuming the organisers did their jobs properly and other riders had the balls to come off track and complain about a particularly dangerous rider (I've seen both people ranting after the session and nearly starting fights (that they didn't have the balls to follow through) - and people simply leaving their session, popping up the control tower and pointing out calmly that driver X is causing danger... a lap later and he's black flagged. No fights, no recriminations) - then all should be well.
As to the 'altruism' element - well after my Mum left my Dad, he subsequently remarried. A fair few years later, the eldest step-brother (who I get on with) wanted to drive, and had been driving a 1.0 Polo or some other crap. So I organised a day's insurance, and let him drive my supercharged Porsche 993. 6 gears, 5 times more power than his other cars, and only 2-300 extra kgs (most of it in his pants). He drove like a cock, no control whatsoever - not through youthful bravado i.e. 'I think I can handle this thing' - but in reality, he was $HIT SCARED on the blast up to Brands Hatch. Got out of the car well out of breath, spent the rest of the day and evening taking mobile phone camera pics and sending them to his mates, followed by 'no st mate, yeah, yadda yadda' 18 yr old rubbish. Then I took him up the same road with just me and him in the car (Dad wanted to come but I told him to leave it so he can have a go himself later).... Andrew (step-brother) was simply silent all the way there and all the way back. As I opened the passenger door for him, his first word was 'FÜCK!!!!!' - was quiet for half an hour then the manic texting to his mates continued.... kids, eh?
From my point of view, if an altruistic elder stepbrother turned up with a fast car then I'd be honoured and would really try to impress - not speed but smooth, iron control of the car. No dicking about, just a win-win for everyone. My half-brother really didn't have the skill, unfortunately, to achieve even one of the goals - the car was too much for him in every way possible (as you'd expect).
For a bike... well I still like to hear stories of altruism and friendship as it shows people haven't all descended to the cheating, thieving, lying cünts that we hear about in the news every day... but this Fraz fellow must have either had years of kids motocross and serious training, and a natural on a bike, or he's simply more lucky than anyone has right to be. I've got plenty of 2-wheel experience but wouldn't be getting my knee down in the third novice session unless the bike had no limits and I had no idea where they were. There's got to be more to this story than meets the eye.
Either it's made up, or this kid is being groomed for racing and is seeking sponsors, and gets plenty of 'altruistic' rides at great circuits.... an organised sponsor-crawl, if you like. Just my cynical tinfoil hattery coming into play, no offence intended.
I think everyone is very quick to jump to opinions here without knowing any of the facts i.e. having witnessed any of it. I think he's a nutter...and I'm sure he is It sounds like a lot of exageration, maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Who knows? Who cares? I know a 21 year old girl who used to race motocross. She's never held a road licence, broken every bone in her body...I tell you something, she'd leave me for dust around any track....purely because she's mental. Has a little skill, but mostly mental and fearless. The essential ingredients for a real racer.
Yeah, personally I wouldn't choose to be on a track with the OP or with this girl.
