The "official" Knockhill track day thread 2014
Discussion
I'm in Fife for the next couple of weeks and I have my bike with me so i'd be up for a ride out. Not sure about Trackdays though as I'm struggling with a shoulder injury so I'd rather not take the risk.
Do you know anything about Fife and are there any good roads around here you would recommend? There's a Fife coastal route which I was going to try on the next Sunny weekend..

The roads up the North East corner of Fife are good, south of Kirkcaldy it's full of 20mph limit villages.
Where about in Fife are you staying? There's some cracking roads as you head North West into Perthshire.
I'm sure MTB will be up for a run out, I'm away this weekend but available after that.

Good to know, thanks. I don't suppose you have any google mapped routes you'd be willing to share so I can form a plan?Where about in Fife are you staying? There's some cracking roads as you head North West into Perthshire.

Good man - how about this weekend if the weather is good? I'm not particularly fast or balls to the wall - so no offence taken if you can't be arsed waiting for me to bimble about.
don't be daft, just let me know when you can this weekendsmack said:

I'm always up for it. Orange bib's are the shizzle.
If I'm honest I've stretched myself a bit thin and I'me struggling for time at the moment but obviously I've still got £180 of Knockhill credit to use up so will try.
I can't do weekdays as I'm out of leave but can do evenings assuming I'm not working in arse end of nowhere.

This is a long ride out but you can take bits out of it, I think MTB would probably take you some of these roads anyway.

Here's a nice ride through the towns and villages of NE Fife.
You must stop for fish & chips at Anstruther!

Great minds think alike! I've actually mapped that exact route as something I plan to do but on my non motorised bike, (a aboardman team cx cyclocross bike which I love dearly). Fish and chips in Anstruther to refuel the muscles is now also part of the plan Here's a nice ride through the towns and villages of NE Fife.
