Been watching my videos back and made good progress again. Down to 1:58's now which I'm happy with given I started at 2:08's 5 track days ago. I don't really understand how but I'm finding 2-3 seconds each day. I don't imagine it'll last much longer though.
Much more consistency this time round being in the right group. No real issues with traffic so was able to get my head down and concentrate.
Having the shock release all of its oil wasn't great and the back end was a bit bouncy but looking at the video didn't affect times too much. Both ends need sorting as under braking the back was in the air quite a lot making corner entry interesting.
Here's a video of the second session, the White bike in front was hebegb;

I didn't realise hebegb was there. Take it he was the guy next to Yazza.
Good effort, showed some machinery the way home lad
Good day for sure - some great track time with good people -shame your progress was curtailed Tom by the shock letting go ... You were going pretty well , relatively , and it's probably best it showed its hand then rather than in the afternoon , once suspension and pressure settings were dialled in and we ( Tony / Simon /myself were doing 5 /6 seconds a lap quicker than .58s, some videos to,post up tomorrow .....
Nice to meet Neil (McKean) and Simon on their way home ( Swindon/Jock land) via excellent Bolton Currry emporium .....
Well done for not being spooked sas, you've made the most of cheap track time with your 5 or 6 days it musta only cost you 500 quid some people only do that many track days a year.
I think mid to low 1:50's is fast for a normal person then below that for racers but I'm sure someone will know better than me.
I've just worked it out and 6 track days has cost me less than £400. All have at least had dry track time for the majority of the day.
I feel happy not leaving it too long between days as I don't have to get used to it all again. My first quick lap yesterday was quicker than I've ever been before.
I've definitely got the bug but won't be able to keep it up for much longer due to other stuff. I'm sure I'll get more in though, I've got Cadwell booked for the end of the month.

Bargain track time. When I started out I was doing nights, 3 sessions for 80 quid. And it was always wet. I've just worked it out and 6 track days has cost me less than £400. All have at least had dry track time for the majority of the day.

I wish my local track wasn't a fking fortune for track days.

You've definitely done really well buddy with money spent as well as how much/fast you've improved. Last year was my first year doing track days. I Only did three and it cost me 750 just in bike rental then 300 plus for the days. And I've never been to the same track twice so never actually been able to really work on anything. Basically I'm stupid is the moral of the story. I've just worked it out and 6 track days has cost me less than £400. All have at least had dry track time for the majority of the day.
