Good man for still racing. I have a friend who had an above the knee amputation (from a racing accident) around 2001 and he still races (albeit with a shimano spd pedal on one side so he can clip into it. He's also broken his pelvis and back twice, but carries on. His attitude is, what more can happen than already has?!

Cheers fergus.

Apart from the missing leg, I'm full of pins and plates, my left foot is just about useless, I can manage to change gear, but I'm a sight to behold if I try to walk in a straight line.

I've broken just about anything you care to mention over the last 27 years of track and road riding, apart from my back, but including my neck.

I've given up counting the broken collar bones, fingers, toes etc.

Not in the slightest bit clever I know, but I just love being on track.

How many collar bones have you got? wink

Seriously big respect for carrying on riding. I'm currently trying to loosen the screw that keeps me wanting to live....then maybe i will get faster but the screw isn't for turning! I'm just too scared of eating road!
