Good man - how about this weekend if the weather is good? I'm not particularly fast or balls to the wall - so no offence taken if you can't be arsed waiting for me to bimble about.
just had a look at the weather, its been raining all day and will continue till Sunday.I'll still go out if you fancy it, riding in rain doesn't bother me, I would say though I don't normally choose to go out in it. I'll let you call it.
I'm proposing a venture down south...
oulton park 16th and 17th of july. think loon, George and tim are going to be there.
hopefully get 3 or 4 bodies, rent a big van, do collections along the way, head down on the 15th drop the bikes off in the pits, then camp out with a BBQ and a few Malibu's and Pineapple till the 17th then head home.
its only 4 hours away from central Scotland.
Anyone fancy it?
£80ish for van and diesel
£250 for two days on track
food and beer wouldn't be much
that's based on 3 of us going. Anyone fancy it.
I'll start with the mix-tapes.

think I'm not here around then....will check the diary
gsxr is roadworthy but not pretty - no movement on sorting the engine - or even if it needs sorting - need to get a compression tester ordered. Got waylaid by one of those exotic italian v-twin things which is eating up all my time. And money. Well I needed a spare after my binning event.
Definitely up for more evening Knockhill fun as would like to prove to myself that I have the restraint to last more than 20 fecking laps. Even bought a onesie for the purpose. As soon as the next eve session comes up that I can get onto I will get it booked.

Let's keep an eye on it - Met office currently saying cloudy tmw and maybe some light rain later in the aft/early eve. If it stays like that I'd be up for a ride but if it looks like rain then I'm ooot.
Sorry missed your text MTB been away until today.
I can't afford it at the moment. I spent £2,000 on buying a kilt and hiring some for the world's most expensive party. I can't believe I actually thought I was going to have the money for an 899 after this.
Weather permitting I'll head up to see you chaps on my way out for a run on the bike.

GWM?
Had a belter of a day. To summarise:
1. Soaked on the way up, nearly went home
2. Got to the track and it started drying
3. was at safety briefing, didn't hear a word of it other than "own risk", "you might die", "medical centre"
4. First session out, lap 3 and someone falls off. knockhill decided to make us lose that session - pretty pissed off but hope crash guy is OK.
5. 2nd Session - got cocky and went for a bit of cross country action at duffus. R1's don't work on grass but didn't fall off.
6. Learned lines, gears and braking points. Overtook everything apart from 1 or two. Braked faded very quickly
7. 3rd session - game on. overtook absolutely everything apart from one guy, locked rear wheel into hairpin, knee down onto the main straight. Celebrated my awesomeness.
All in all a fantastic day but the classes seem a bit messed up. There were folk far to slow to be on the track on dedicated track bikes and there were folk on the track that need to calm the fk down.
Next time i think i'm going to ditch the bib and go into inters. I honestly felt i was being held up by most.
But man - how addictive! No better feeling that getting that last corner right and nailing in down the straight at 130 on one wheel. Magic.
Good to meet MTB and Prolapse. get a ride out sorted soon.
